Colour INKspiration 63 #CI63

What is Colour INKspiraton? – a Facebook based bi-monthly colour challenge.
Anyone with Facebook can join in.  You don’t need a blog and you don’t need to be a demonstrator.
I have joined in these challenges and love them as Colour challenges for me are actually a real challenge.
Click here to join the Facebook page which now has over 2000 members and see what it’s all about.

Here’s some of the basic details about the challenge –
The Colour INKspiration Crew! consists of a team of talented Aussie and NZ Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators that create projects based on Pinterest inspired colour swatches.
Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm (AEDT), a new colour swatch will be uploaded to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group and the Colour INKspiration Crew will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each challenge with a blog hop.
Then you have a 12 day period to upload your own creations using the colours provided.
If you have a blog, feel free to link back to it, but all entries will be via Facebook.  The design team will select 5 projects to be ‘design team picks’ and then the Facebook group will select an overall winner from this shortlist.

Welcome from the gorgeous Rose's page

I have a set I don't think I have inked yet....

I had a few scraps of the Designer Series Paper sitting on my desk from a previous project that I had made and thought why not use them up!

I made two frames in the whisper white to place over the top on an offset angle and cut a Seaside Spray Circle which was then embossed with the subtle folder for a bit of texture.

The cake was stamped with the new Delicata Metallic Ink and coloured with Stampin' Blends for a splash of colour. I then dipped the rhinestones into the ink to make them gold :-)
(tip: I have noticed that the gold will rub off no matter how long you leave it to dry so it may be best to clear emboss over the top so it sets)

        TGIF Challenge 227 #TGIFC227

        This week the challenge is

        Embossing Powder!!

        Messy but fun...

I got a little bit excited and took the pictures of this card straight after I made it..... The glue isn't even dry (if you look closely)

I used the embossing powder on die cuts. There are three colours on the background pieces gold, silver and copper. The best way for these colours to show up are on a black background.

The background piece of cardstock is embossed with the subtle folder and lightly sprayed with a mix of champagne mist shimmer paint and isocol.

        • Stampsets: Itty Bitty Greetings
        • Ink: Versamark
        • Card: Basic Black, Whisper white and Silver foil
        • Tools:  Christmas Layers Dies, Stitched Nested Labels Dies and Subtle Embossing Folder with a die cutting/ embossing machine as well as Copper, Silver, Gold and Shimmer White Embossing Powders
        • Embellishments:  Dimensionals, Champagne Shimmer Paint and Copper Trim Ribbon

        Just Add Ink 472 #JAI472

        Just Add Ink Challenge #472

        This weeks challenge is

        A sketch.
It feels like ages that I have done a sketch challenge.

I have fallen in love with some of the new products in the new Holiday Catalogue and here is a card with some of them along with a stampset from the Annual Catalogue.

I am pretty sure that I will be giving this to a very special friend of mine, who if I didn't start Stampin' Up! I would never have met.

The background layer was made mixing a drop of Highland Heather reinker with the Shimmery Embossing paste and spread over the Basic Pattern Decorative Mask.
I found that the Feels like Frost DSP tended to "blend in" with the layer of Seaside Spray so I placed a super thin border of whisper white in between to break it up.

        • Stamps: Beautiful Friendship
        • Ink: - Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green, Seaside Spray and Gorgeous Grape
        • Card: Highland Heather, Whisper White, Granny Apple Green, Seaside Spray and Feels Like Frost Specialty DSP
        • Tools: Stitched Shapes Die and Christmas Layers Die with a die cutting machine, shimmery embossing paste, highland heather reinker and Basic Pattern Decorative Masks
        • Embellishments:  Dimensionals & Rhinestones coloured with Dark Highland Heather Stampin' Blend

Welcome from my lovely friends page (who lives just down the road) Jackie

I hadn't cracked out my cute new cow set yet so here was the perfect opportunity.

Isn't she adorable? These colours were just perfect for this challenge.

I punched lots of the small Daisy punch flowers, glued them together and placed them randomly on the background of this card for a bit of a textured effect.
The Stitched Rectangles and Stitched Nested Labels actually work well together.

        • Stamps: Over The Moon
