Social Stamping - Rainbow

Hello and welcome to the second Social Stamping Blog Hop with so many talented crafters around the world joining in.
My friend Kelly Kent is the mastermind behind this and she put the group together to share our creations in a time where we are all social distancing and many are in isolation. It is a very unnerving time for a lot of people as some have medical issues and loved ones who are compromised and can not afford to get ill. Creating is my sanity at the moment as I am a pretty social person and not being able to meet friends just at the coffee shop or have a card class is really hard.

So here is the next theme that Kelly has set for us and it is "Rainbow"

You have come from the gorgeous Mandy's page

Rainbow to me screams Pigment Inks!!

I love these as messy as they are they are so bright and colourful.
I am trying to make and get out as many cards as I can while home.

Tip - the sentiment was punched with the Label me Fancy punch which I slid it so it punched a bit smaller than the original punch size, I think it worked well and looks totally different to the original shape.

  • Stamps: Ornate Style & Heres a Card
  • Ink: Versamark
  • Card: Watercolour & Basic Black
  • Tools: Clear and White Embossing Powder & Heat Tool, Pigment Sprinkles, Label me Fancy Punch, Butterfly Beauty Thinlets Dies & Ornate Borders Dies with a Die cutting/Embossing Machine
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals

I know that Kel based this theme on the rainbow trail here is what my kiddies did the first week staying at home...

  4. The pigment sprinkles really pop-good control to get the rainbow effect-the sprinkles can be hard to direct!

  6. Great minds think alike! Pigment sprinkles were definitely the first thing that came to mind for me too with the rainbow theme. Great background and I love the butterflies and the addition of the black really makes the colours pop.
