Welcome to yet another wonderful ESAD blog hop!
I am so lucky to be in this group of talented demonstrators (friends) and I hope that you enjoy all our projects using products only available for another week from Saleabration 2023.
You have either started with myself or come from Lou
My most favourite thing in the Saleabration Catalogue is favored flowers DSP.
I think it's the rich colours in it that draws me to this paper.
I recently was leant some Perth Wildcats tickets while friends of ours were away and I made this card for them to thank them. It always is an amazing atmosphere at the game and we were very grateful for the loan. The bonus was we ended up going to two games!!
And they won both games!
Anyway, onto card number two made in a very similar way to the first card using the stitched greenery die as the base of the card.
I really love fussy cutting images out of the designer series paper, I find it therapeutic.
This card was made for a very, very special friend of mine who had a big birthday earlier in February.
A lifetime ago I worked in a holiday resort in Busselton called Mandalay. It was the best time and I got to know so many regular customers who came each year to stay. The owners of the resort are like family to me and so are many of the customers.
I was so, so lucky to be invited to a 70th high tea yesterday to celebrate one of them.
Lastly, here is the card that I made for her with the same papers, and background but just in another colour. I am so loving this paper!
Unfortunately the number die that I have used on this particular card has retired but it will never be leaving my stash!

ReplyDeleteWhat can I say! Your creations always inspire me, Nic and of course I absolutely loved my birthday card. I have to admit I wasn't sure about this paper when I first saw it as I thought it might be too 'loud'. However as soon as I saw it in real life, I loved it. Your cards show how to make great use of this gorgeous paper x
ReplyDeleteI love how you've tamed that DSP Nic. You've taken it from loud to rich and elegant. Thanks for organising a fab hop.
ReplyDeleteYour fussy cutting skills were put to good use. What beautiful examples.
ReplyDeleteLove your cards Nicole. Fussy cutting isn't something I enjoy and I wasn't taken with this DSP at first. I do like that there are dies that cut out some of the images and we have numbers in a new alphabet set to be able to recreate something similar to your lovely cards.
ReplyDeleteLovely cards , Nicole . I love that DSP as well as the bundle , the flower is gorgeous .
ReplyDeleteBeautiful way to use the paper, Nicole. So very elegantly beautiful. And how fun seeing the game. Thanks for organising the ESAD hop.
