Welcome to Colour Inkspiration!

What is Colour INKspiraton? – a Facebook based bi-monthly colour challenge.

I have joined in these challenges and love them as Colour challenges for me are actually a real challenge.

Here’s some of the basic details about the challenge –
The Colour INKspiration Crew! consists of a team of talented Aussie and NZ Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators that create projects based on Pinterest inspired colour swatches.
Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm (AEDT), a new colour swatch will be uploaded to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group and the Colour INKspiration Crew will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each challenge with a post on their blogs.
Then you have a 12 day period to upload your own creations using the colours provided.

If you have a blog, feel free to link back to it, but all entries will be via Facebook.  The design team will select 5 projects to be ‘design team picks’ and then the Facebook group will select an overall winner from this shortlist.

I missed last fortnights challenge as when I came home from holidays I wasn't well. I still am not right but I will be back at my actual paid job tomorrow.

Here is a pic of our family on holiday at James Bond Island.

Now onto the project I have made for this fortnights challenge using the new Happy Hibiscus that will be available as an Online Exclusive from November.

It is a bundle with a hybrid embossing folder which cuts out the Hibiscus Flowers as well as embosses them. To be honest I have never used one of our hybrid folders! I really love this one...

If you are interested in joining in on this great challenge.
Remember to upload your cards to our facebook group here!

I am officially on holidays but I can't resist these gorgeous colours! My faves!

A simple card that would be good for someone moving into a new home. I used some of the fine tip glue pen for dimension on the larger of the hearts.

This just screams Christmas to me! and what better way to use it on a brand new Christmas set that literally arrived in my hands yesterday.

I was that keen to blog it the glue hasn't quite dried on the background.
I love using the dies to make texture on the back of the card and the only stamping was the sentiment.

To be honest with you all, these are not colours I would normally choose but it was a challenge for me to use them.

I did a card class using the gorgeous Layers of Beauty stencils as the set was still on my desk from the last Colour INKspiration challenge that I participated in, so I thought I would replicate the card in these colours and I am pleasantly surprised with the outcome.

I was going to stamp the outline but forgot, oh well still looks good and it works well with only two inkpads used. Tone on tone was done with the masks as each layer was darker than the one before to get the depth of the flowers and leaves.

Here is the card I did for class.

This you would think should be an easy one.... But my favourite colours change all the time!!

I picked 3 gorgeous colours that work so well together for this card.

This challenge also works in with the Global Design Project Challenge of using circles.

So very pretty.
The colours I chose for this card were Shy Shamrock, Azure Afternoon and Petuna Pop!
Beautiful.... The technique I used was the Floating frames technique using the amazing Spotlight on Nature Dies... Stunning!

I already have someone to give this to as well and I know she will appreciate it.
