What Will You Stamp 195? #WWYS195

What Will you Stamp Challenge number 195.
I hope that you like what I can come up with for these awesome challenges.
I hope more of you join in with these great stampset challenges as they are fun!

My apologies for being missing in action these last couple of months but I did not have the stampsets. As much as I would love to own everything, it just isn't possible so I am back in for the next few weeks.

I only used a couple of the images from this set as the gorgeous framelits are so detailed and are perfect for the feature on this card.

This card is perfect if you want to use up scraps of paper or even washi tape.
(shhh don't tell my girls but I think we might do this for one of our stampastack cards in a couple of weeks)
I used strips of DSP for the background, cut at various widths.
The Glimmer paper deer is a gorgeous way of setting the whole card off.
  • Stamps: Dashing Deer
  • Ink:  Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler
  • Card: Very Vanilla, Mossy Meadow, Festive Farmhouse DSP and Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper
  • Tools: Dashing Deer & Layering Oval Framelits with the bigshot.
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals

Fab Friday 150 #FabFri150

Fab Friday Challenge is here.
It feels like it has been while since I have made anything for this challenge.
Funnily enough Mint Macaron and Tranquil Tide were in the last challenge I did for Fab Friday.

My least favourite colour is amongst this colour challenge, so challenge accepted!
Although I didn't use much of it...… can you pick what colour it is?

I have to add one of my favourite colours is also in this challenge.... It could be obvious what it is....

My step mum has just had a knee operation so I used this challenge to make her a card as we visited her this morning. We had a lovely morning with her and she is recovering really well!

Painted Harvest is a great set and can be used in multiple colours and cards. I stamped off the Blackberry Bliss for the base layer of the stamp to make it lighter.

The offset background just adds a little bit of difference to a plain laid out card.
You can't see it but I have sprayed a light spray of the shimmer paint over the flower.

  • Stampset: Painted Harvest
  • Ink: Mint Macaron, Tranquil Tide, Cajun Craze and Blackberry Bliss
  • Card: Whisper White, Tranquil Tide, Mint Macaron and Natures Poem DSP
  • Tools: Leaf Punch and Frost Shimmer Paint
  • Embellishments:  Dimensionals & Braided Linen Trim

Just Add Ink 434 #JAI434

Just Add Ink Challenge #434

This weeks challenge is add a big bold sentiment.

Well we are off to a party today for a one and four year old!
Perfect to whip out those large letter framelits and some DSP for two "fairly" quick cards.

Little Lochlan will be four on Christmas Day this year but sadly his family is moving away to Geraldton so we are celebrating his and his little sister's birthday this afternoon.

A simple card using just designer series paper and framelits…. (and a little fussy cutting)

His little sister Ashlyn is turning one.
We have had the pleasure of being friends with their parents and my hubby has worked with their father for many many years. It will be sad to see them go.

This card again was simple using the framelits, punch, dsp and one stamp from the stampset.

  • Stamps: Little Elephant
  • Ink: - none! Shock horror
  • Card: Whisper White, Shaded Spruce, Petal Pink, Night of Navy, Basic Grey, Smokey Slate, Animal Expedition DSP and Twinkle Twinkle DSP
  • Tools: Large Letter Framelits with the Bigshot & the Elephant Builder Punch
  • Embellishments:  Dimensionals, wink of stella

Colour INKspiration 45 #CI45

What is Colour INKspiraton? – a Facebook based bi-monthly colour challenge.
Anyone with Facebook can join in.  You don’t need a blog and you don’t need to be a demonstrator.
I have joined in these challenges and love them as Colour challenges for me are actually a real challenge.
Click here to join the Facebook page which now has over 1900 members and see what it’s all about.

Here’s some of the basic details about the challenge –
The Colour INKspiration Crew! consists of a team of talented Aussie and NZ Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators that create projects based on Pinterest inspired colour swatches.
Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm (AEDT), a new colour swatch will be uploaded to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group and the Colour INKspiration Crew will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each challenge with a blog hop.
Then you have a 12 day period to upload your own creations using the colours provided.
If you have a blog, feel free to link back to it, but all entries will be via Facebook.  The design team will select 5 projects to be ‘design team picks’ and then the Facebook group will select an overall winner from this shortlist.

Welcome from the ever so lovely Liz who I was lucky to see on the weekend at our Onstage Local over the other side of the country in Brisbane!
(She presented too what an amazing lady)

Choose 1, 2, 3, 4 or all 5 colours!

I chose to use 1 colour.....

Fresh Fig

I pulled out a set that I recently purchased and although I have actually never cut any of my stamps apart, I did cut the sentiments off to make separate stamps as I prefer to use them differently to the way they come in the case.

I did use all the picture stamps out of this set.
The background was stamped in the smaller flower image and two small panels on top were the two fish images out of the set.
I fussy cut the bonsai tree out and because it is stamped onto whisper white it looks great against the base card.

Monochrome is so striking I think I might go and make the other colours into this card too.....

  • Stamps: All The Good Things
  • Ink: Fresh Fig
  • Card: Whisper White, Fresh Fig and 6x6 Designer Series Paper
  • Tools:  Stitched Shapes Framelits with the bigshot, sponge dauber and the 2 1/2inch punch
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals, Shimmer paint & iridescent sequins

Just Add Ink 433 #JAI433

Just Add Ink Challenge #433

This weeks challenge is a colour combo and I was feeling like crafting today.

Some of my favourite colours!

I had to pull out some new goodies I won on the weekend at onstage live in Brisbane!

I always come home feeling inspired from these events and loved every minute catching up with my demonstrator friends from all over the country!

It helps to have a stamparatus handy for the repetitive background on this card. I wasn't quite sure how the flower and the stem are supposed to match up but it looks ok and the good thing about the stamping is that these stamps you do not have to stamp off to use the same colour.

  • Stamps: Incredible Like You and Itty Bitty Birthdays (coming soon)
  • Ink:  Blueberry Bushel, Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst
  • Card: Whisper White, Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst and Blueberry Bushel
  • Tools: Sponge Dauber, Stitched Shapes Framelits & Stiched Labels Framelits with the Bigshot as well as the Stamparatus
  • Embellishments:  Dimensionals & Blueberry Bushel

The Artful Stampers Aussie Christmas Blog Hop

Here I am again with the lovely Artful Stampers girls for a little blog hop to make an Aussie Christmas item.

You have either started with myself or come around from Alisa's page.

I used the super adorable So Santa set for this card.

It was also the card that we made in our monthly Card and Coffee get together at Dome on Monday morning.

  • The background was pretty simple, I masked a circle shape and used my Stamping Sponges to add the colour to the background.
  • The Santa was stamped onto the background as well as onto another whisper white piece of cardstock which was then coloured with the blends.
  • Embossing Paste was dabbed onto the background and the coloured Santa was then fussy cut and adhered to the card with dimensionals.
  • The little starfish (or seastars) were coloured with a shimmery wink of stella!

  • Stamps: So Santa
  • Ink:  Memento Black, Mango Melody and Bermuda Bay
  • Card: Whisper White, Bermuda Bay and Mango Melody
  • Tools: Stitched Labels Framelits with the bigshot, Real Red, Ivory, Smokey Slate, Bermuda Bay, Mango Melody and the colour lifter in Stampin' Blends, Stamping sponges & White Embossing Paste
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals, Braided Linen Trim & Wink of Stella

I absolutely love these colours this fortnight! I had to attempt to make a shutter card.

The belly band slides off so you can open the card for the shutters to also open.

My friend came over the day I made this so we could have a create day together..... As our paper is a different size to the US I did have a bit of trouble with the shutters.... lets say a few hours later, a few sheets of Sahara Sand and some very choice words later.... here was the result!

So glad I figured that one out!

  • Stamps: Happiness Surrounds
  • Ink: Highland Heather, Sahara Sand, Blushing Bride & Pear Pizzazz
  • Card: Whisper White, Highland Heather, Sahara Sand, Pear Pizzazz & Tropical Escape DSP stack
  • Tools:  Layering Circles Framelits with the bigshot
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals & Rhinestones
