Colour INKspiration 41 #CI41

What is Colour INKspiraton? – a Facebook based bi-monthly colour challenge.
Anyone with Facebook can join in.  You don’t need a blog and you don’t need to be a demonstrator.
I have joined in these challenges and love them as Colour challenges for me are actually a real challenge.
Click here to join the Facebook page which now has over 1900 members and see what it’s all about.

Here’s some of the basic details about the challenge –
The Colour INKspiration Crew! consists of a team of talented Aussie and NZ Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators that create projects based on Pinterest inspired colour swatches.
Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm (AEDT), a new colour swatch will be uploaded to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group and the Colour INKspiration Crew will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each challenge with a blog hop.
Then you have a 12 day period to upload your own creations using the colours provided.
If you have a blog, feel free to link back to it, but all entries will be via Facebook.  The design team will select 5 projects to be ‘design team picks’ and then the Facebook group will select an overall winner from this shortlist.

Hello from Julia's page

I thought I would do a bit of a CAS card this fortnight...
(what is CAS??? Clean and Simple)

Yes a simple card from me.
Sometimes I think that I think about cards and details way, way too much so I took a step back this fortnight and made something really plain.
There is a bit of shimmer on the black sentiment but it really doesn't show up that well in these pictures at all!

  • Stamps: Accented Blooms
  • Ink: Memento Black
  • Card: Whisper White, Real Red, Shaded Spruce & Pumpkin Pie
  • Tools:  1", 3/4", 1/2" circle Punches as well as the  and Real Red, Shaded Spruce and Pumpkin Pie light and Dark Stampin' Blends
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals & White Frost Shimmer Paint

The Paper Players Challenge 408 #PP408

The Paper Players Challenge 408

The description on the website is below.
It's back to school week here in the UK and this has got me thinking about little notes to leave my little ones to be discovered during the school day. Whilst I know that across the pond the return to school was a couple of weeks ago now, any time is a good time to leave a little note for someone with a word of encouragement or to let them know you are thinking of them - and you don't have to stop at children either. Make a little note for your partner, neighbour or anyone that you think would be touched by a surprise note to brighten their day.

Ok so my children go to school in Australia and it is 3rd Term here so it isn't back to school.
It got me thinking, I did give this card to one of the ladies who goes to a monthly pizza and papercraft group that I attend, who is having cancer treatment.
It was a surprise card with words of encouragement inside as she is now in hospital.

The base of the card is a tri window card from Bronwyn Eastleys tutorials but I have adjusted it to add another panel making it a quad window panel card.

I loved this card so much it has become incorporated into my class this month.

  • Stamps: First Frost
  • Ink:  Merry Merlot, Blackberry Bliss & Blushing Bride
  • Card: Whisper White, Blackberry Bliss, Blushing Bride, Merry Merlot, Pear Pizzazz and Frosted Floral Specialty DSP
  • Tools: Layering Oval Framelits, Frosted Bouquet Framelits and Tufted Embossing folder with the bigshot
  • Embellishments: - Dimensionals

What Will You Stamp 184? #WWYS184

What Will you Stamp Challenge number 184.
I hope that you like what I can come up with for these awesome challenges.
I hope more of you join in with these great stampset challenges as they are fun!

This weeks stampset is Oh So Eclectic and I must say I have used this set and the matching framelits quite a bit.

The card that I had in my mind to the card that actually came out on paper was totally different...… but I do like it!

Sometimes less is more.
It is really hard to see in this first picture that I have used the shimmer paint on the background.
The shimmer paint was placed into a spritzer with some alcohol and lightly sprayed over the background of the base card.

This second picture shows it a bit better.
Super sparkly.

  • Stamps: Oh So Eclectic
  • Ink:  Rich Razzleberry, Blackberry Bliss, Blushing Bride, Soft Seafoam and Sahara Sand
  • Card: Whisper White, Basic Black and Sparkle Glimmer Paper
  • Tools: Eclectic Layers and Stitched Labels Framelits with the bigshot.
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals, Champagne Shimmer Paint and Black cord ribbon

What Will You Stamp 183? #WWYS183

What Will you Stamp Challenge number 183.
I hope that you like what I can come up with for these awesome challenges.
I hope more of you join in with these great stampset challenges as they are fun!

This set is very limited and will not be available after the end of this month.

I have made so many cards with the floral stamp in this set, I set myself a challenge to make a card with something else.

A Christmas Card it is!

Simple but effective.
I coloured the Holly with Stampin' Blends in Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler and fussy cut them out to adhere onto the front of the card.
It is a little hard to tell but I used the smallest framelit in the Stitched seasons on the side of the front panel (under the sentiment) and flipped it over.

  • Stamps: Blended Seasons
  • Ink:  Black Memento
  • Card: Whisper White, Grey Granite, Watercolour and Joyous Noel Specialty DSP (avail in September)
  • Tools: Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce Light and Dark, Stampin' Blends and Stitched Shapes Framelits with the bigshot.
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals & Wink of Stella
