Colour INKspiration 44 #CI44

What is Colour INKspiraton? – a Facebook based bi-monthly colour challenge.
Anyone with Facebook can join in.  You don’t need a blog and you don’t need to be a demonstrator.
I have joined in these challenges and love them as Colour challenges for me are actually a real challenge.
Click here to join the Facebook page which now has over 1900 members and see what it’s all about.

Here’s some of the basic details about the challenge –
The Colour INKspiration Crew! consists of a team of talented Aussie and NZ Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators that create projects based on Pinterest inspired colour swatches.
Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm (AEDT), a new colour swatch will be uploaded to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group and the Colour INKspiration Crew will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each challenge with a blog hop.
Then you have a 12 day period to upload your own creations using the colours provided.
If you have a blog, feel free to link back to it, but all entries will be via Facebook.  The design team will select 5 projects to be ‘design team picks’ and then the Facebook group will select an overall winner from this shortlist.

I absolutely love these colours this fortnight! I had to attempt to make a shutter card.

The belly band slides off so you can open the card for the shutters to also open.

My friend came over the day I made this so we could have a create day together..... As our paper is a different size to the US I did have a bit of trouble with the shutters.... lets say a few hours later, a few sheets of Sahara Sand and some very choice words later.... here was the result!

So glad I figured that one out!

  • Stamps: Happiness Surrounds
  • Ink: Highland Heather, Sahara Sand, Blushing Bride & Pear Pizzazz
  • Card: Whisper White, Highland Heather, Sahara Sand, Pear Pizzazz & Tropical Escape DSP stack
  • Tools:  Layering Circles Framelits with the bigshot
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals & Rhinestones

Thanks for hopping on by from Rose, I hope you have enjoyed the hop so far.

Well it was use 1, 2, 3, 4 or all 5...…. I used 4 of them which wasn't bad.

I tend not to use a lot of yellow in my cards as the main colour so I challenged myself to do this for this challenge.

This stampset was actually available for demonstrators before it went live in the annual catalogue and for some reason I wasn't all that drawn to it.
I purchased it before I went on holidays and I do not regret that decision one bit!

The vellum butterflies are adhered to the card with glue dots and I bent up their wings slightly to give some dimension to the card.

  • Stamps: Painted Glass
  • Ink: Stayz On, Lovely Lipstick and Pineapple Punch
  • Card: Whisper White, Pineapple Punch, Basic Black, Blueberry Bushel, Lovely Lipstick and Vellum
  • Tools:  In Colour Stampin Write markers in Blueberry Bushel, Lovely Lipstick, Pineapple Punch and a hint of Grapefruit Grove, Stained Glass, Stitched Shapes and Frosted Bouquet Thinlets with the bigshot,
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals & Wink of Stella

The Artful Stampers Scrap Page Holiday Catalogue Blog Hop

Here I am again with the lovely Artful Stampers girls for a little blog hop with Holiday Catalogue  products to make a Scrapping Page.

Here is my page.
I whipped it up after our holiday up north (in the October School Holidays)

The shimmer paint sprayed over the top has slightly warped it but it will be totally fine once placed in a clear sleeve in an album!

Its not all that often my hubby and I get to have photos together as it is usually one of us taking them.
This day was on our way up to Exmouth at the Wooramel Lookout.
We stop here every year and do a quick family selfie.
This year it wasn't windy like it is every other year.

I made this page to show that not everything in the
holiday catalogue is for Christmas!

  • Stamps: First Frost &
  • Ink:  Tranquil Tide & Blackerry Bliss
  • Card: Whisper White, Blackberry Bliss, Tranquil Tide, Blushing Bride and Frosted Floral Specialty DSP
  • Tools: Frosted Bouquet Framelits with the bigshot, Frost White Shimmer Paint (mixed with isocol and spritzed over the background) & Shimmery Embossing Paste
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals & Clear Epoxy Droplets.
