Colour INKspiration #14

What is Colour INKspiraton? – a Facebook based bi-monthly colour challenge.
Anyone with Facebook can join in.  You don’t need a blog and you don’t need to be a demonstrator.
I have joined in these challenges and love them as Colour challenges for me are actually a real challenge.
Click here to join the Facebook page which now has over 1600 members and see what it’s all about.

Here’s some of the basic details about the challenge –
The Colour INKspiration Crew! consists of a team of talented Aussie and NZ Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators that create projects based on Pinterest inspired colour swatches.
Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm (AEDT), a new colour swatch will be uploaded to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group and the Colour INKspiration Crew will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each challenge with a blog hop.
Then you have a 12 day period to upload your own creations using the colours provided.
If you have a blog, feel free to link back to it, but all entries will be via Facebook.  The design team will select 5 projects to be ‘design team picks’ and then the Facebook group will select an overall winner from this shortlist.

I have hardly used this set so I pulled it out and thought hmmm a Baby card but for a girl who isn't too much of a girly girl

This is how it looks

The bear image was stamped off once for the background and for the two other stamps I just used the Smoky Slate first generation stamped for both images.

Great for a lady who has just had a little girl and not really into too much pinkish colouring.

I thought I was going to be a bit clever and I tried colouring the embossing paste and dabbing it over the original bear that I stamped to give  it the texture of fur....... what a disaster that turned out to be oooopss!!

  • Stamps: Baby Bear
  • Ink: Smoky Slate, Rich Razzleberry and Night of Navy
  • Card: Whisper White, Smoky Slate, Soft Sky, Rich Razzleberry and Night of Navy
  • Tools: Sweet and Sassy Framelits & Softly Falling Folder with the bigshot (I also ran the foam roller with a slight bit of Rich Razzleberry over the folder and pressed over the background)
  • Embelishments: Dimensionals and a touch of wink of stella

What Will You Stamp? #WWYS125

What Will you Stamp Challenge number 125.

I hope that you like what I can come up with for these awesome challenges.
I hope more of you join in with these great stampset challenges as they are fun!

This weeks set is Cool Treats!
Well this is truly a challenge for me as I was lucky to have had a play with it and to use it for my onstage display board cards in November last year!

What could I do with this that I hadn't already done??

Here is what I came up with

One card you will always need lots of is most definitely a birthday card!

I made the background with the small icecream framelits and then stamped and cut out the main coloured Icecream.

A touch of ribbon finished this card off.

  • Stamps: Cool Treats
  • Ink:  Berry Burst, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie
  • Card: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight and Berry Burst
  • Tools: Stiched Framelits and Frozen Treats framelits with the Bigshot
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals, wink of stella & Berry Burst 1/2" finely woven ribbon

These colours are super pretty and one of my new faves is amongst it too.....
Lemon Lime Twist!!

I just received this set in the post on Friday so I thought I would pull it out to make this card.
The flowers were paper pieced together using a pop of the lemon lime twist in the centres.
The background I cut a stencil from the Eclectic Layers and used the Embossing Paste coloured with the Sweet Sugarplum ink for a bit of texture to the card.

You can never have too many birthday cards on hand......
  • Stamps: Oh So Eclectic and sentiment from Number of Years
  • Ink: Fresh Fig, Wild Wasabi and Sweet Sugarplum
  • Card: Fresh Fig, Sweet Sugarplum, Wild Wasabi, Lemon Lime Twist and Wood Textures DSP stack
  • Tools: Eclectic Layers Framelits with the bigshot
  • Embelishments: Dimensionals, Embossing Paste and Iridescent Sequins

This week is Daisy Delight and it is such an amazing set that the punch is on backorder!

One of my friends has just had a birthday so I thought I would make her a card using this weeks challenge set.

The new Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper is amazing on this side stepper card.

I stamped off the background image on the smaller daisy flower to get a toned down look.

I really love the way it looks and I am pretty sure my friend loved it too!!
Happy birthday Mel :-)

Favourites from the 2017/18 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue Blog Hop!

Welcome to yet another wonderful ESAD blog hop! I am so lucky to be in this group of talented demonstrators and I hope that you enjoy all our favourite products in our new and amazing annual catalogue.

You have come from the clever Josie's page

I am loving the Daisy bundle (along with everyone else) and I really need to do another shop and get myself some more goodies but I would like to show a 3D mini album that my girls made recently in class.

It was a simple fun class and I found the tutorial on you tube by Anna Komenda

Here are a variety of the albums.

Open to show the pages

Here I have opened the album and held up the pages to show how many there are and they are double sided too so you can decorate both front and back.
Now I need to finish them off with some photos and embellishments.

(I stamped the front Daisy in Wisteria Wonder as there is a colour in the main picture that looks exactly like it. Wisteria is not listed as one of the colours on the DSP pack.)

  • Stamps: Delightful Daisy
  • Ink:  Wisteria Wonder and Old Olive
  • Card: For Main image, Night of Navy, Whisper White, Old Olive, Calypso Coral, Emerald Envy and Delightful Daisy DSP
  • Tools: Daisy Punch, Stitched Framelits (circles) with the bigshot
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals, magnets, Clear Faceted Gems and various Stampin' Up! ribbons

Next up is the amazing Carolina

What Will You Stamp 123? #WWYS123

What Will you Stamp Challenge number 123.
I hope that you like what I can come up with for these awesome challenges.
I hope more of you join in with these great stampset challenges as they are fun!

This weeks set the Happy Birthday Gorgeous!

Well I didn't use it for a birthday at all this week.... I used the images for a sympathy card.
Sadly one of my besties father passed away so I had to make her a card.

    It is still very pretty

The little roses from the set are just beautiful as a border around the main sentiment.

Layering simple ovals makes it an effective centrepiece on this card.
    • Stamps: Happy Birthday Gorgeous and the sentiment from Rose Wonder
    • Ink:  Calypso Coral and Old Olive
    • Card: Calypso Coral, Old Olive, Whisper White and Petal Garden DSP stack
    • Tools: Layered Leaves Embossing folder, Layering Ovals and Stitched Framelits with the Bigshot
    • Embellishments: Dimensionals, Copper Trim Ribbon
