Card Class July

Well I haven't blogged for a couple of weeks due to our camera going to camera heaven....
I am very sad as it was a brilliant digital SLR camera but we did have it for 9 years...
Time to start saving again

I grabbed out our Nikon underwater camera and thought it may work but the quality may not be as good.
I am pleasantly surprised!

I have a small monthly cardmaking group of ladies whom I adore.
They are such a lovely group and generally we make two cards in one of our cardmaking sessions.
We made a shaker card as our first card (see previous post to this) using my daughters 6th Birthday card as the inspiration. (I usually do one more involved card or a card with a different fold/layout first and then the easy card second.

This card above is the easy card using Jar of Love Bundle and it was super quick to make too.

  • Stamps: Jar of Love
  • Ink:  Dapper Denim, Pumpkin Pie, Soft Sky
  • Card: Whisper White, Soft Sky, Dapper Denim, Real Red and By The Shore DSP
  • Tools: Everyday Jars and Layering Circles Framelits with the Bigshot and Confetti Hearts Border
  • Embellishments:  Dimensionals

What Will You Stamp #WWYS73

What Will You Stamp? Challenge #73

I have been lucky to be included in this challenge as a guest stamper this week and I just received this set in the mail so it was perfect timing.

This is just gorgeous this set and I had plans on making my daughters birthday card with it alongside with a couple of other stampsets so here it is.

She turned six last Monday and loved this shaker card I made her.
Unfortunately she wasn't well all day so we celebrated a few days later.

Just a little tip though if you are putting a bit of the Dazzling Diamonds inside the shaker.... be very very careful when you seal it so it doesn't get on the mounting foam and not seal the shaker properly.

I saw the jar and thought that this is exactly what I wanted to do with it.

  • Stamps: Jar of Love, Fairy Celebration and Number of Years
  • Ink:  Staz On Black, Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum, Daffodil Delight, Pink Pirouette, Wisteria Wonder, Wild Wasabi
  • Card: Whisper White, Shimmery White, Sweet Sugarplum and Flirty Flamingo
  • Tools: Everyday Jars Framelits & Large Numbers Framelits with the bigshot, Silver Stampin' Emboss powder
  • Embellishments:  Dimensionals, Foam Adhesive Strips, Rhinestones, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, Silver sequins, Wink of Stella and Sweet Sugarplum Ruched Ribbon
  • WWYS73

Welcome from Jane's blog this week.

A sketch challenge this week

I have been away for the weekend and only arrived home last night so I whipped up this card to go with this sketch but I made it a little more symmetrical by putting a flag in the right hand side of the yellow slightly different to the sketch.

I had also been in the craft room till nearly midnight creating a gorgeous card for our daughter who turns 6 today.

Bright and cheery I think.
If only wink of stella showed up better in pictures..
My daughters card will be revealed next week....

  • Stamps: Mixed Drinks and Playful Backgrounds
  • Ink:  Memento Black, Cherry Cobbler, Peekaboo Peach, So Saffron, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Tangerine Tango
  • Card: Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight
  • Tools: Triple Banner Punch
  • Embellishments:  Dimensionals, Rhinestones & Wink of Stella

Next on the hop is Anna
