A colour Challenge

The closest colour to peach is calypso coral but soon we will have a peach added to our collection...
I'm very excited

I went with a repeat of the mini flower punch and popped the odd one up with a dimensional in the middle. Simple but elegant.

The Card Concept 53

The Card Concept #53
I have found a new challenge to play along with this week.
The theme is Bright and Fresh

These colours are amazing!!
The closest for me are Watermelon Wonder, Blushing Bride, Cucumber Crush and Coastal Cabana

This is what I made with it

The actual colours are brighter than this in real life.
I used the flowers from the fabric as well as the colours for this project.
I also chose to do a CAS design as I believe that less is more and this worked out just how I wanted it to.

Global Design Project #GDP032

Hello again and welcome to my blog.

This weeks Global Design Project theme is Case the Designer

And a gorgeous card it is!

I thought I would use the layout and background paper and make my own card with it.
This year is the year of turning 40 for my year group so what better card to make with it....

I tried to still use the ribbon, doily and flower elements in my card so it was very similar.

I really love this DSP and will be sad to see it retire.

Welcome from Jane's brilliant card creation

http://richesstitches.blogspot.com.au/2015/03/the-artful-stampers-blog-hop-22.html

This week is

GLITTER

It is easy to make a card all glittery but very very hard to photograph it.

Here is what I made

This card is very very glittery.....

I did have an issue with my mini sweetheart punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack so I had to use my retired heart punch from the previous Punch pack.

I also have seen the #TGIF51 challenge and surprise it is also
Get your Shine on so I thought I could "kill two birds with one stone"

  • Stamps: Groovy Love
  • Ink:  Blushing Bride
  • Card: Blushing Bride, Blushing Bride and Silver Glimmer Paper
  • Tools: Iridescent Ice Stampin' Emboss Powder, Sweetheart Punch and Mini Heart Punch
  • Embellishments:  Dimensionals, Wink of Stella and Rhinestones

The Artful Stampers Blog Hop Challenge 80

Welcome from Jane's blog

http://richesstitches.blogspot.com.au/2015/03/the-artful-stampers-blog-hop-22.html

This week is a colour challenge

I had a little idea in my head and I wasn't sure it was going to work but my oh my I am so happy with how it turned out!

I felt like using some bleach on my card as it's been a while since I did anything with it.
(Besides clean the house)

The hearts are actually the Floraly stamp from "I think you're great" I have stamped in versamark on both the Crushed Curry and Rose Red papers and clear embossed.
I then grabbed my aqua painter and painted bleach over the whole sheet making the embossed sections darker and obviously the cardstock inbetween bleached out.
Then it was to my trusty heart punches to punch them out. That's it!!
Love it when something actually works!!
  • Stamps: I Think You're Great
  • Ink:  Versamark, Rose Red & Crushed Curry
  • Card: Whisper White, Basic Black, Crushed Curry, Rose Red and Neutrals DSP stack
  • Tools: Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder, Greetings Thinlits with the bigshot, Sweetheart and Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, aqua painter and sponge daubers
  • Embellishments:  Dimensionals, Crystal Effects

Next on the hop is Tamsin this week.

I really wanted to go outside my comfort zone with this so I thought I would pull out some colours I would not normally use.... After all it is a challenge right?

I really don't use oranges or the yellows alot so I thought I would use Delightful Dijon and Tangelo Twist with the Going Places DSP Stack

I nice card to give to that man in your life.

  • Stamps: Going Global
  • Ink:  Sahara Sand, Tangelo Twist, Delightful Dijon
  • Card: Very Vanilla, Tangelo Twist, Delightful Dijon, Going Places DSP Stack, Sweet Li'l Things DSP
  • Tools: Paper Piercing Tool

Paper Pals Arts #PPA295

Welcome to my little crafty corner
This weeks Pals Paper Arts Challenge is a colour one

#PPA295

I am really loving this combo and thought I would go well on a childrens card.

The "no bones about it" stampset would have to be one of my favourites.
I love using the small leaves to make the background and popping the main dinosaur up with dimensionals to give that bit of dimension.

  • Stamps: No Bones About It
  • Ink:  Crumb Cake, Cucumber Crush and Bermuda Bay
  • Card: Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, Cucumber Crush, Neutrals DSP paper stack
  • Embellishments:  Dimensionals
  • #PPA295

Just Add Ink #306

This week is a one of those cards that we all dislike to make but we have to unfortunately
The theme is "Just add Sympathy"

I had an idea in my head and it turned out somewhat like I had imagined

I used one of my clear blocks and put some of the 3 inks on it then spritzed it with water before stamping it on the white paper.

I then stamped the sun image in versamark and white embossed it.
( I did try to stamp it first and clear emboss but it didn't work out as well)
The butterflies are stamped and fussy cut in the 3 colours I used for the background

  • Stamps: Kinda Eclectic, Rose Wonder and Grateful Bunch
  • Ink:  Bermuda Bay, Mint Macaron and Pool Party
  • Card: Whisper White
  • Tools: White Stampin' Emboss Powder and Heat Tool
  • Embellishments:  Dimensionals and Rhinestones

Can you Case it? CYCI#114

Hi everyone
I am giving the Can you Case it challenge a go this week.

It is a sketch and a very pretty one too

Sadly we were given some distressing news on the weekend as friends of ours 20 year old son passed away and I have had to make a sympathy card.
They are not the easiest cards to make.
I wanted it to be bright as their son was a bright happy young man and his smile was contagious.

I made it with a triple fold for something different.
The sentiment looked best at the top of the card.
That is the thing with sketches you can alter them slightly and still get a great effect.

  • Stamps: Rose Wonder
  • Ink:  Blackberry Bliss, Watermelon Wonder, Bermuda Bay, Island Indigo and Crushed Curry
  • Card: Whisper White, Blackberry Bliss, Watermelon Wonder, Island Indigo, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry and Bohemian DSP
  • Tools: Botanical Builder Framelits Dies with Bigshot
  • Embellishments:  Dimensionals and Rhinestones
