Colours which look a little christmassy.....

And a Christmas Card I did make...

I used some new goodies from the Holiday Catalogue which will be available in a few days.

One colour that I really have never liked is Always Artichoke but It looks really nice with this colour combination. I actually opened my Artichoke ink to make this card as it has been sitting in the colour caddy for the last few years with the plastic still on it.
  • Stamps: Santa's Sleigh
  • Ink:  Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke, Pear Pizzazz & Crumb Cake
  • Card: Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Flirty Flamingo, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz and Always Artichoke

  • Embellishments:  Dimensionals, Linen Thread & Wink of Stella

The Artful Stampers Blog Hop Challenge 99

Welcome from Mercia's blog this week.

http://richesstitches.blogspot.com.au/2015/03/the-artful-stampers-blog-hop-22.html

This week is sketch week

My son had his 4th birthday on the 14th of August so I used this sketch for his card.
I couldn't fit all the circles in it but there is no correct way to interpret a sketch
It wasn't quite how I thought it would turn out but he loved it anyway!

Here is his card

I turned one of the circles from the sketch into a peek hole with a T Rex inside the card...

He loves dinosaurs and I love this set!
  • Stamps: No Bones About It
  • Ink:  Memento Black, Emerald Envy, Pumpkin Pie & Tempting Turquoise
  • Card: Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Emerald Envy and Festive Birthday DSP
  • Tools: Large Numbers Dies and Layering Circles Dies with the Bigshot Machine
  • Embellishments:  Dimensionals

I love colour challenges.

I sat and thought about this for a while and I really wanted to use the new Thoughtful Branches bundle on this card. I finally made it work.

This bundle is only available for the month of August.

The Artful Stampers Blog Hop Challenge 96

Welcome from Jane's blog this week.

http://richesstitches.blogspot.com.au/2015/03/the-artful-stampers-blog-hop-22.html

A sketch challenge this week

I just received the gorgeous Flourishing Phrases bundle in the mail so I had to get it out...

This is what I made with it

The labels framelits sizing was a little too big for this card so I cut the white from the second smallest framelit and then traced around the outside and fussy cut the yellow for the border.

The red flowers were cut with the thinlits and then I cut them to place over the cucumber crush stamped image.

  • Stamps: Flourishing Phrases & Sentiment from Sprinkles of Life
  • Ink:  Memento Black, Cucumber Crush & Daffodil Delight
  • Card: Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Basic Black and Daffodil Delight
  • Tools: Flourish Thinlits and Lots of Labels Framelits with the bigshot
  • Embellishments:  Dimensionals

Next on the hop is Mercia can't wait to see her great project.
