TGIF Challenge 166 #TGIF166

I am so, so super lucky to have won a challenge with this great team last month.
I have been chosen as a guest designer for June and I chose this challenge.

I love using glitter on my cards but it isn't always the easiest to photograph.....

I cut the floral pattern from the Springtime Impressions Thinlits and used sponge daubers to add a bit of colour to the different flowers and leaves. I then put some tombow down on the roses and sprinkled dazzling diamonds over the top for that sparkle.

So so sparkly in real life!
The background is dsp from the Garden Impressions paper stack with tombow glue on the base and Dazzling Diamonds glitter also sprinkled over the top.

  • Stamps: Perennial Birthday
  • Ink:  Bluberry Bushel, Shaded Spruce, So Saffron & Melon Mambo
  • Card: Whisper White, Blueberry Bushel, Vellum & Garden Impressions DSP stack
  • Tools: Springtime Impressions Thinlits & Layering Ovals Framelits with the bigshot & sponge daubers
  • Embellishments:  Dazzling Diamonds Glitter

Colour INKspiration 36 #CI36

What is Colour INKspiraton? – a Facebook based bi-monthly colour challenge.
Anyone with Facebook can join in.  You don’t need a blog and you don’t need to be a demonstrator.
I have joined in these challenges and love them as Colour challenges for me are actually a real challenge.
Click here to join the Facebook page which now has nearly 1900 members and see what it’s all about.

Here’s some of the basic details about the challenge –
The Colour INKspiration Crew! consists of a team of talented Aussie and NZ Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators that create projects based on Pinterest inspired colour swatches.
Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm (AEDT), a new colour swatch will be uploaded to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group and the Colour INKspiration Crew will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each challenge with a blog hop.
Then you have a 12 day period to upload your own creations using the colours provided.
If you have a blog, feel free to link back to it, but all entries will be via Facebook.  The design team will select 5 projects to be ‘design team picks’ and then the Facebook group will select an overall winner from this shortlist.

I was a little stumped on this colour challenge, then I pulled out some of my new DSP as a couple of the colours are in it!

So Lucky as I needed something simple this week as I am still feeling a bit average!

This is going to an amazing friend of mine as a massive thankyou for something she did for me last week and I am forever grateful!

Did you know that the thinlits from Animal Friends match the DSP in Animal Expedition?
That is what I used for the already pre-coloured Rhino!!

The Artful Stampers Annual Catalogue Blog Hop

Hi everyone sorry I have been MIA for the last week being back from holidays I have not been that well. A trip to hospital on Monday with no diagnosis and by Saturday more blood tests. Hopefully at some stage today I find out. I has really really knocked me around!

Here I am with the lovely Artful Stampers girls for a little blog hop with new goodies from the new catty.

You have hopped on over from the amazing Annette Sullivan

I totally fell in love with this bundle (Follow Your Dreams) when I first saw it in the catalogue and with my saleabration rewards I actually earned it for free! I was so, so happy.

I have just arrived back from Bali and all the little stalls around have these gorgeous dream catchers.
Just perfect inspiration for this card.

So pretty!! I didn't buy any on this trip as my daughter already has a couple above her bed.

The navy blue and white combination with a dash of gold makes this a perfect simple card to make. Using the gorgeous dsp from twinkle twinkle matches so easily.
You don't always have to use all the products from the same suite to get great effects!

  • Stamps: Follow Your Dreams
  • Ink:  Night of Navy
  • Card: Whisper White Thick, Twinkle Twinkle DSP, Gold Foil & Night of Navy
  • Tools: Follow Your Dreams Framelits with the Bigshot
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals

Hop on over to Tina Hewett to see what awesome project she has made!

You have come from Elizabeths blog and isn't her project just gorgeous?

How exciting is this colour challenge?
We have a few colours in our Neutrals collection which is pretty awesome!

The colours I have chosen are Mossy Meadow, Merry Merlot and Soft Suede

I received the Rooted In Nature set as a display board stamper back for April's Onstage event in Perth Western Australia. I actually really love it and I have had so many ideas using it.

I like the idea of a small sampler style card with a little bit of each of the stamps on each panel.
A touch of copper & wood element for the embellishments and the card was complete.
Now I just have to get the framelits and I will be a happy girl!

  • Stamps: Rooted In Nature
  • Ink: Mossy Meadow, Merry Merlot and Soft Suede
  • Card: Whisper White, Merry Merlot and Mossy Meadow
  • Embellishments:  Dimensionals, Frames Elements & Leaves Trinkets

ESAD Annual Catalogue Launch Blog Hop

Welcome to yet another wonderful ESAD blog hop!
I am so lucky to be in this group of talented demonstrators (friends) and I hope that you enjoy all our projects using new products from the current Annual Catalogue.

You have hopped on over from the amazing Rochelle Blok!

It has been a pretty sad couple of weeks in our family with the passing of my husbands grandfather (my childrens great grandad)

I have been creating for family members some sympathy cards.
Later in the week one of my school mum friends sadly lost her brother so I also made her a card too.

All four cards together

These cards are quick and easy to replicate and the four cards only used two of the 6x6 sheets of the Garden Impressions DSP.

Firstly I covered the background of the card and the strip that was left over was flipped over and used in the centre of the next card.
The pretty floral die makes a gorgeous background on the last card pictured.
The second card just had a flower stamp randomly stamped around the background for a bit of depth to the card.

I had a little brown box of amazing goodness arrive two weeks ago with the new colour revamp inkpads along with the matching cardstock and a new stampset and DSP stack.... I had to play with it all as it is gorgeous!

I am on holidays from Tuesday so I will be having a little break with my family.
I am really looking forward to the time out as May really wasn't a good month for us in many ways.

  • Stamps: Flourishing Phrases & Perennial Birthday
  • Ink:  Melon Mambo & Blueberry Bushel

  • Tools: Decorative Ribbon Border and Banner Triple Punches, Springtime Impressions Thinlits & Petal Pair Embossing folder with the bigshot
