Colour INKspiration 56 #CI56

What is Colour INKspiraton? – a Facebook based bi-monthly colour challenge.
Anyone with Facebook can join in.  You don’t need a blog and you don’t need to be a demonstrator.
I have joined in these challenges and love them as Colour challenges for me are actually a real challenge.
Click here to join the Facebook page which now has over 2000 members and see what it’s all about.

Here’s some of the basic details about the challenge –
The Colour INKspiration Crew! consists of a team of talented Aussie and NZ Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators that create projects based on Pinterest inspired colour swatches.
Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm (AEDT), a new colour swatch will be uploaded to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group and the Colour INKspiration Crew will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each challenge with a blog hop.
Then you have a 12 day period to upload your own creations using the colours provided.
If you have a blog, feel free to link back to it, but all entries will be via Facebook.  The design team will select 5 projects to be ‘design team picks’ and then the Facebook group will select an overall winner from this shortlist.

Welcome from Kim's page

This challenge picture my gorgeous friend Monique found again this week.

At the moment I am still playing with Everything is Rosy still and I am loving the bundle.

These colours work perfectly with this colour combination although I am not a real Garden Green fan (or Green of any sort).
This stampset and dies will most definitely be staying in my stash to keep even when it has retired!

This card was so simple to make. Sometimes we really need to get back to basics in our card making.

I love the dimension that it gives when you cut off a small slice from the card front and use a small piece of DSP inside the card and overlap the flowers over the edge of the card.

  • Stamps: Everything Is Rosy
  • Ink: Garden Green, Blackberry Bliss, Melon Mambo, and Berry Burst
  • Card: Whisper White and Everything is Rosy DSP
  • Tools: Everything is Rosy Thinlits with the Bigshot
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals

Kelly's Stamping Friends Birthday Blog Hop 2019

It is that time of the year again when my friend Kelly has a birthday!
Today is my mums birthday too so Happy Birthday Mumsy!
We get to share this moment with Kelly buy joining in with an awesome blog hop! I nearly missed the info on this but scraped in just in the nick of time!

I have to say that if it wasn't for Stampin' Up! I wouldn't have the awesome group of friends that I do! I love the fact that we all have that thing in common and it is Papercraft!

You have hopped from my fabulous team member Rachael

Here is the card that I made for the hop. It is also the card that my class ladies made at the beginning of the month.... I did make it in a few different colours of the same DSP pack.

I am pretty sure it is called a Pop Up corner Card.

Here it is opened up flat

and folded up to place in an envelope

and here are a couple more thrown in for good luck :-)
The main images (the cupcake and lolly) have been fussy cut from one of the sheets from the pack.
This was a card with hardly any stamping bar the Happy on the Stitched Oval.

      • Stamps: Well Said
      • Ink:  Melon Mambo
      • Card: Whisper White, Gorgeous Grape and How Sweet it is Designer Series Paper

Welcome from Rebecca's gorgeous Elephant card

How cute is this inspiration picture that Monique has found?
The challenge is use 3 or more of the colours above.

I love a challenge so I pulled out all the colours and made the background card but it sat there.... I couldn't decide on what stampset to use for the main image...…

This morning along came my delivery of Everything is Rosy and by gosh it was Rosy as I pulled out a ripper of a card. It's my mums birthday next week and I think it will be perfect for her... I will have to post it to her this afternoon so she will get it in time.
Nothing like a little bit of last minute inspiration.

I really love how it worked out. Have I already said that?

I stamped the main floral image into the Grapefruit Grove inkpad and sponge daubered the Flirty Flamingo around the edge. It is a bit hard to see it in this particular picture but it is stunning. I am so, so sad that Lemon Lime Twist is retiring as it is currently my favourite colour. I am not a green person but it is such a lovely colour.
The Pearls were coloured with the dark Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blend so they match the card perfectly.

I can not wait to see what you create with these pretty colours.

      • Stamps: Everything Is Rosy
      • Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Grapefruit Grove, Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lime Twist
      • Card: Whisper White, Lemon Lime Twist, Smoky Slate, Coastal Cabana, Flirty Flamingo, Grapefruit Grove & Rich Razzleberry
      • Tools: Everything is Rosy Thinlits & Layering Ovals Framelits with the Bigshot & Dark Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blend
      • Embellishments: Dimensionals, wink of stella & Pearls
