Social Stamping - Friend

Hello and welcome to the weekly Social Stamping Blog Hop with so many talented crafters around the world joining in.
My friend Kelly Kent is the mastermind behind this and she put the group together to share our creations in a time where we are all social distancing and many are in isolation. It is a very unnerving time for a lot of people as some have medical issues and loved ones who are compromised and can not afford to get ill. Creating is my sanity at the moment as I am a pretty social person and not being able to meet friends just at the coffee shop or have a card class is really hard.

So here is the next theme that Kelly has set for us and it is "Friend"

You have come from Kelly's blog

I am still loving the dies from the new Ornate bundle so I decided to cut one of the floral frames and use it on my background.... However the first card did not go so well... I went to cut the stitched frame from it and because my plates on my die cutting machine were old and had lots of cuts it stuck and ripped it as well as put a lot of dirty old cardstock on it...… back to the drawing board I went and found a couple of new pads... I thought I would grab a stamp set I haven't used in a while to add to the front of the card and I am pretty happy with it...

Silver Glimmer Cardstock doesn't like intricate dies very much so either peel off some of the backing card to make the paper a bit thinner and/ or run the die through your die cutting machine quite a few times with a piece of shim to get it to cut right through.
