The Artful Stampers Blog Hop Challenge 111

Welcome from Annettes blog this week.

It is a sketch challenge this week

Looks super pretty.

I thought I would pull out the Stitched Framelits and use them as my focal point.
I stamped the flowers using the Wild Wasabi with a little of the Old Olive sponged around the edge and also the flower section with Sweet Sugarplum and the Perfect Plum sponge daubered around it.
The single full flower image from the stamp was used on the background of the card.

This was all mounted up with dimensionals to give it some depth.

  • Stamps: Wild About Flowers
  • Ink: Old Olive, Wild Wasabi, Perfect Plum and Sweet Sugarplum
  • Card: Whisper White, Sweet Sugarplum and Old Olive
  • Tools: Stitched Framelits with the Bigshot and Sponge Daubers
  • Embellishments:  Dimensionals

Next on the hop is Jane who I know will amaze you with what she has made this week

The Artful Stampers Blog Hop Challenge 110

Welcome from Anna's blog this week.

A new day for our weekly blog hop.
It did change a couple of weeks ago but this is the first time I have gotten back into it.

A colour challenge this week the darker grey is supposed to be Basic Grey

I pulled out a set I love but haven't had the chance to ink it yet...

Glamper Greetings

The colours worked really well with it.

Fits really well as some of you know I worked in a holiday park in Busselton for many many many years and it was the best job. I met so many wonderful people.
  • Stamps: Glamper Greetings
  • Ink: Basic Grey, Crushed Curry and Memento Black
  • Card: Whisper White, Basic Grey, Smokey Slate, Crushed Curry, Fox and Friends DSP stack and Birthday Fiesta DSP
  • Embellishments:  Dimensionals

Onstage Brisbane 2016 - Saleabrate Occasions

Well here we are just after a very very exciting week away with my mum.

A few months ago Stampin' Up! head office put a call out for display board stampers for Onstage Live in Brisbane. I thought well what do i have to lose??? Absolutely nothing at all... If they like my work great and if they didn't that is totally fine with me too......

I was very excited to receive an e-mail to say I was successful WOW!! They did like what I can do! Well I was not expecting to receive a phone call a week later asking if I would like to present at Onstage Live!!!! Whaaaattttt? Me???? My instant reaction was to say no way no I can't do it but I said "Can I please think about it? " I had one sleep............................ I called the lovely Donna back the next morning and said "Why not? It is so out of my comfort zone I will do it!!"

Oh my goodness... I had butterflies the minute I hung the phone up! This was late June and I had till November to prepare myself....

I had a couple of boxes of gorgeous product arrive in about August this year so it gave me a chance to have a play.... oh and I was still doing the display board stamping too... This meant that I needed to make around 30 samples for the big event!!! No problems, I can do this!

After many many 1am nights (which I really do enjoy the peace) I finally finished my samples.

This is why you are here today... To see the beautiful products I was so lucky to have had a play with from my presentation - Saleabrate Occasions

The first set was the Lift me Up Stampset and The Up and Away Thinlets with the gorgeous Carried Away Designer Series paper.

I fell in love with this set straight away

I think this one has to be my favourite sample from this set.

hmmm I could be mistaken...

 Its great for 3D items

I had so many ideas floating around in my head...

My son would be pleased...
I could have just kept making beautiful things with it but I did have to move onto my next suite

Dragonfly Dreams - with the Dragonfly Dreams Stampset and the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies
using the In the Lines Saleabration free paper.

I think that I was the luckiest of the presenters to get TWO gorgeous suites

 Just using the thinlits

Using both thinlits and the two step stamp

It looks gorgeous in our foil sheets

The black magic technique using our new watercolour pencils

The "in the lines" saleabration paper with the new watercolour pencils

The make and take at the end of the session

My friend Renae Crosby took this one on my camera... It was my very first presentation and I was super nervous.

Thankyou to Christine Hajjar for taking the last two pics.... This one is a look of relief.

I have so much more to post so I think I might have to do it over 3 posts :-)

What I have been up to lately.....

Hi everyone, so sorry no posts lately but I have been so super busy organising myself for Onstage Live in Brisbane.... I fly out this Saturday so its very exciting...

I haven't been in any blog hops or challenges lately for this reason but it doesn't mean that I haven't made any cards... I have made a few..

First (in the October school holidays) my daughters school teacher was getting married. I made something a little different to my usual cards for her and I am pretty proud how it worked out. I have seen so many of these types of cards on Pinterest I thought I would put my own spin on it.

Then my daughter had her little friends birthday party to go to and she is such a gorgeous little girl who is very girly so I made her a Fairy card

Next we went to a wedding of my husbands work mate.. My gosh it was so super fun, my husband and I rocked the photobooth - here is a couple of pics of us having a wonderful night the company is called

Anyway this is the wedding card that I ended up making for them, which coincidentally was their wedding colours

Lastly my daughter had a birthday party on the weekend and the little girl who's birthday it was loves Star Wars.... So I whipped up my own BB8 card for her..

I did also go to a Baptism on the weekend but I forgot to take a picture of the card.
Let me know what you think?
I will post lots of pics after On Stage...
