Colour INKspiration 10

What is Colour INKspiraton? – a Facebook based bi-monthly colour challenge.
Anyone with Facebook can join in.  You don’t need a blog and you don’t need to be a demonstrator.
I have joined in these challenges and love them as Colour challenges for me are actually a real challenge.
Click here to join the Facebook page which now has over 1300 members and see what it’s all about.

Here’s some of the basic details about the challenge –
The Colour INKspiration Crew! consists of a team of talented Aussie and NZ Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators that create projects based on Pinterest inspired colour swatches.
Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm (AEDT), a new colour swatch will be uploaded to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group and the Colour INKspiration Crew will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each challenge with a blog hop.
Then you have a 12 day period to upload your own creations using the colours provided.
If you have a blog, feel free to link back to it, but all entries will be via Facebook.  The design team will select 5 projects to be ‘design team picks’ and then the Facebook group will select an overall winner from this shortlist.

You have hopped from the lovely Mel's page

This is another gorgeous Autumn colour theme but I did something a bit different with it.
My most disliked colour is in this particular challenge.... that it is most definitely a challenge...

Here is what I finally came up with..

I used the swiping technique for the background and an old RAC card that I had in my wallet cut up into different sized pieces.

The bird I cut in the smoky slate then glued a piece of Dijon to the back and fussy cut it out.
I then cut another bird in Cajun and pieced the smaller pieces back into the bird for a bit of colour.

  • Stamps: Best Birds
  • Ink: Cajun Craze, Delightful Dijon and Smoky Slate
  • Card: Whisper White, Island Indigo, Delightful Dijon, Cajun Craze and Smoky Slate
  • Tools: Birds and Blooms Thinlits & Stitched Shapes Framelits with the bigshot
  • Embelishments: Dimensionals & In Colour Doiley flipped to the white side

What Will You Stamp 116 #WWYS116

What Will you Stamp Challenge number 116.
I hope that you like what I can come up with for these awesome challenges.
I hope more of you join in with these great stampset challenges as they are fun!

This weeks set is Vertical Greetings and I must admit I have only just purchased this set!

You can never have too many birthday cards so that is what I did with it!

I am really enjoying making bright and bold cards.
Using the pictures from a particular set on the background makes it look not so plain.
The picture was coloured with stampin' write markers and stamped onto the whisper white cardstock.
  • Stamps: Vertical Greetings
  • Ink:  Lemon Lime Twist (coming next month), Emerald Envy, Early espresso, Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise and Pacific Point.
  • Card: Whisper White, Pacific Point, Emerald Envy and Festive Birthday DSP
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals, Glitter Enamel Dots (coming next month) and Wink of Stella

Now this colour combo looked a bit like gerberas to me so I made some 3D ones.... Then the internet was flooded with them so I went back to the drawing board and made a card with some on. I really didn't want to use new product just yet but this is what came into my head so I went with it.

I hope you are enjoying these colour challenges as I am surely challenged each fortnight which is wonderful as I love a bit of a challenge

ESAD Eastern Palace Suite Blog Hop

Hello from the ever so talented Lou's Page

I tried to make something a little different to what I have seen floating around the internet so here are my two cards.

I made this one first as I am loving the new in Colour Lemon Lime Twist and I am missing one of my besties in Busselton so I think it might be going her way very soon.....

Then I decided on an easel card with the new stickers as the feature in the centre of the medallion. I tried to use the DSP as a different background but I feel it has made this card a little busy.
Oh well someone will love it!

    • Stamps: Eastern Beauty
    • Ink:  Dapper Denim, Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist and Fresh Fig
    • Card: Dapper Denim, Fresh Fig, Emerald Envy, Very Vanilla, Whisper White, Berry Burst, Gold and Silver Foil and Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper.
    • Tools: Layering Circles Framelits and Eastern Medallion Thinlits Dies with the Bigshot
    • Embelishments: Dimensionals, Glitter Enamel Dots and Eastern Gold Vinyl Stickers

Be amazed as next on this hop is Kim Oliver
