Colour INKspiration #12

What is Colour INKspiraton? – a Facebook based bi-monthly colour challenge.
Anyone with Facebook can join in.  You don’t need a blog and you don’t need to be a demonstrator.
I have joined in these challenges and love them as Colour challenges for me are actually a real challenge.
Click here to join the Facebook page which now has over 1500 members and see what it’s all about.

Here’s some of the basic details about the challenge –
The Colour INKspiration Crew! consists of a team of talented Aussie and NZ Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators that create projects based on Pinterest inspired colour swatches.
Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm (AEDT), a new colour swatch will be uploaded to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group and the Colour INKspiration Crew will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each challenge with a blog hop.
Then you have a 12 day period to upload your own creations using the colours provided.
If you have a blog, feel free to link back to it, but all entries will be via Facebook.  The design team will select 5 projects to be ‘design team picks’ and then the Facebook group will select an overall winner from this shortlist.

You have hopped on over from Denita whose work is amazing!!

I missed last fortnights challenge as I was in Bali on holidays and wasn't sure if I was able to make any changes if anything went wrong with the hop!
Boy I missed it!

This time the challenge is awesome you can pick four or more colours (or the whole lot if you wish)

So so many options with these colours!
So its a challenge right?? I had to use all the colours!

Here it is..... I will let you all in on a little secret this was a very last minute card...... I finished it at 11pm last night..

I love it!

It is made with simple layering of the scalloped coloured pieces onto a white piece of  card.
I then stamped the little girl onto another piece of white in basic black and after cutting her silhouette out with the framelits that match, I glued her on the underside of the scallops. I chose not to colour her in as the white really pops out against the colour background.

  • Stamps: Birthday Delivery
  • Ink: Basic Black
  • Card: Whisper White, Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, Dapper Denim, Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler, Elegant Eggplant and Smoky Slate
  • Tools: Birthday Friends Framelits & the scallop out of Seasonal Layers Thinlits with the bigshot
  • Embelishments: Dimensionals & White Bakers twine

  4. Love it Nicole, very eye-catching. It might have been last minute, but I think this is VERY creative, and somewhere along the way I'm going to use this idea.
