Colour INKspiration 70 #CI70

Welcome to a new year of Colour Inkspiration!

What is Colour INKspiraton? – a Facebook based bi-monthly colour challenge.
Anyone with Facebook can join in.  You don’t need a blog and you don’t need to be a demonstrator.
I have joined in these challenges and love them as Colour challenges for me are actually a real challenge.
Click here to join the Facebook page which now has over 2000 members and see what it’s all about.

Here’s some of the basic details about the challenge –
The Colour INKspiration Crew! consists of a team of talented Aussie and NZ Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators that create projects based on Pinterest inspired colour swatches.
Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm (AEDT), a new colour swatch will be uploaded to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group and the Colour INKspiration Crew will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each challenge with a blog hop.
Then you have a 12 day period to upload your own creations using the colours provided.
If you have a blog, feel free to link back to it, but all entries will be via Facebook.  The design team will select 5 projects to be ‘design team picks’ and then the Facebook group will select an overall winner from this shortlist.

Hello and welcome from Patrice's blog

As this first challenge of the year and it is Colour INKspirations 3rd birthday!
It is fitting for the theme to be a Birthday Card challenge using our favourite colours.
These were the colours I picked!

I am a bit of a bold crafter when I make cards and love big blocks of colour!

This is a card I made for my older sisters birthday on the 4th of January....

The shimmery white card looks gorgeous coloured with an aqua painter and some ink from the lid of the inkpads! The shimmery white panel on the back with the nested dies breaks the colour up from the background and the cake. I added a neutral colour of crumb cake as well

This challenge will be on the Colour INKspiration facebook page until the 10th of February.

  • Stamps: Happy Birthday To You
  • Ink: Memento Black, Stayzon, Crumb Cake, Flirty Flamingo, Bermuda Bay an Gorgeous Grape
  • Card: Shimmery White, Gorgeous Grape, Bermuda Bay, Crumb Cake, Flirty Flamingo and Vellum
  • Tools: Stitched Nested, Detailed Peacock & Painted Labels Dies with a Die Cutting Machine as well as aqua painter
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals & Noble Peacock Rhinestones
