Colour INKspiration 46 #CI46

What is Colour INKspiraton? – a Facebook based bi-monthly colour challenge.
Anyone with Facebook can join in.  You don’t need a blog and you don’t need to be a demonstrator.
I have joined in these challenges and love them as Colour challenges for me are actually a real challenge.
Click here to join the Facebook page which now has over 1900 members and see what it’s all about.

Here’s some of the basic details about the challenge –
The Colour INKspiration Crew! consists of a team of talented Aussie and NZ Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators that create projects based on Pinterest inspired colour swatches.
Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm (AEDT), a new colour swatch will be uploaded to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group and the Colour INKspiration Crew will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each challenge with a blog hop.
Then you have a 12 day period to upload your own creations using the colours provided.
If you have a blog, feel free to link back to it, but all entries will be via Facebook.  The design team will select 5 projects to be ‘design team picks’ and then the Facebook group will select an overall winner from this shortlist.

Welcome from the lovely Kim's page

This is my colour picture pick this fortnight!
Aren't the colours amazing? They are all new this year too!

I loved this picture as it reminded me of my own wedding (my bridesmaid dresses anyway)

Here I am with my beautiful sisters Lisa, Leanne and Sonia (my step sister and friend)
"sigh" feels like forever ago!

Anyway back to the task at hand, I made another pocket card for this challenge.

I love these colours together so much!

My class ladies made this card way back in September.
So simple and I followed Jackie Aitkens tutorial for the card base. It is super easy to use!

You can get two tones of colour from the one inkpad like I have above with the Gorgeous Grape and Lovely Lipstick Inks.
I have stamped off first for the lighter base image then stamped the second image over the top.
The bouquet bunch framelits are so easy to use and put together inside the jar.

  • Stamps: Graceful Garden, Jar of Love & Beautiful Bouquet
  • Ink: Gorgeous Grape, Lovely Lipstick, Blueberry Bushel, Balmy Blue and Black Stayz on
  • Card: Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Lovely Lipstick, Balmy Blue, Granny Apple Green, Blueberry Bushel and Vellum
  • Tools:  Everyday Jars, Stitched Shapes and Bouquet Bunch Framelits with the bigshot,
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals

Just Add Ink Challenge #435

Here is a picture to draw inspiration from.
I have made a card with trees below.... and not a Christmas card either.

This sketch is so gorgeous.

My beautiful neighbour passed away yesterday morning after a long illness.
I was able to visit him on Monday afternoon to say my goodbyes.
It is a really sad time at the moment as my children loved him like an adopted grandparent and he loved them very much too.
I really am going to miss him.

He leaves behind his beloved Betty who I made this card especially for.

Rest In Peace Don x

For The Love Of Creating with Stampin' Up! New Catalogue Pre-Order Items

Here is a blog hop using new pre order items from the upcoming Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalogue.

You have hopped on over from the lovely Bronwyn

We had a 40th to go to on the weekend so I thought it was a perfect opportunity to use the Classic Garage Stampset and mix it up with a prize patrol from Onstage called Itty Bitty Birthdays.

Such a cool set especially for the car enthusiast.
My step father is a mechanic so it is going to be a well used set I am predicting.

What Will You Stamp 196? #WWYS196

What Will you Stamp Challenge number 196.
I hope that you like what I can come up with for these awesome challenges.
I hope more of you join in with these great stampset challenges as they are fun!

This set is so pretty and I went back to basics this week with a CAS card.

I think sometimes I overthink my stampsets and try to make things more complicated than what they need to be.

This is what I created.

One of the couples (parents) from school were married on the weekend.
This is the perfect simple card to give them.
I hope they like it!
I pulled out the colours that match in the Designer Series Paper and used them on this card. It is simple to colour the base of the flower with a lighter colour and then dauber the darker colour in the middle.

  • Stamps: First Frost
  • Ink:  Pear Pizzazz, Mossy Meadow, Mint Macaron, Blushing Bride and Blackberry Bliss
  • Card: Whisper White Thick and normal Whisper White paper along with vellum
  • Tools: Frosted Bouquet Framelits with the bigshot.
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals and Frost White Shimmer Paint (sprayed lightly over the front)

What Will You Stamp 195? #WWYS195

What Will you Stamp Challenge number 195.
I hope that you like what I can come up with for these awesome challenges.
I hope more of you join in with these great stampset challenges as they are fun!

My apologies for being missing in action these last couple of months but I did not have the stampsets. As much as I would love to own everything, it just isn't possible so I am back in for the next few weeks.

I only used a couple of the images from this set as the gorgeous framelits are so detailed and are perfect for the feature on this card.

This card is perfect if you want to use up scraps of paper or even washi tape.
(shhh don't tell my girls but I think we might do this for one of our stampastack cards in a couple of weeks)
I used strips of DSP for the background, cut at various widths.
The Glimmer paper deer is a gorgeous way of setting the whole card off.
  • Stamps: Dashing Deer
  • Ink:  Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler
  • Card: Very Vanilla, Mossy Meadow, Festive Farmhouse DSP and Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper
  • Tools: Dashing Deer & Layering Oval Framelits with the bigshot.
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals

Fab Friday 150 #FabFri150

Fab Friday Challenge is here.
It feels like it has been while since I have made anything for this challenge.
Funnily enough Mint Macaron and Tranquil Tide were in the last challenge I did for Fab Friday.

My least favourite colour is amongst this colour challenge, so challenge accepted!
Although I didn't use much of it...… can you pick what colour it is?

I have to add one of my favourite colours is also in this challenge.... It could be obvious what it is....

My step mum has just had a knee operation so I used this challenge to make her a card as we visited her this morning. We had a lovely morning with her and she is recovering really well!

Painted Harvest is a great set and can be used in multiple colours and cards. I stamped off the Blackberry Bliss for the base layer of the stamp to make it lighter.

The offset background just adds a little bit of difference to a plain laid out card.
You can't see it but I have sprayed a light spray of the shimmer paint over the flower.

  • Stampset: Painted Harvest
  • Ink: Mint Macaron, Tranquil Tide, Cajun Craze and Blackberry Bliss
  • Card: Whisper White, Tranquil Tide, Mint Macaron and Natures Poem DSP
  • Tools: Leaf Punch and Frost Shimmer Paint
  • Embellishments:  Dimensionals & Braided Linen Trim

Just Add Ink 434 #JAI434

Just Add Ink Challenge #434

This weeks challenge is add a big bold sentiment.

Well we are off to a party today for a one and four year old!
Perfect to whip out those large letter framelits and some DSP for two "fairly" quick cards.

Little Lochlan will be four on Christmas Day this year but sadly his family is moving away to Geraldton so we are celebrating his and his little sister's birthday this afternoon.

A simple card using just designer series paper and framelits…. (and a little fussy cutting)

His little sister Ashlyn is turning one.
We have had the pleasure of being friends with their parents and my hubby has worked with their father for many many years. It will be sad to see them go.

This card again was simple using the framelits, punch, dsp and one stamp from the stampset.

  • Stamps: Little Elephant
  • Ink: - none! Shock horror
  • Card: Whisper White, Shaded Spruce, Petal Pink, Night of Navy, Basic Grey, Smokey Slate, Animal Expedition DSP and Twinkle Twinkle DSP
  • Tools: Large Letter Framelits with the Bigshot & the Elephant Builder Punch
  • Embellishments:  Dimensionals, wink of stella
