Social Stamping -Hearts

Hello and welcome to the weekly Social Stamping Blog Hop with so many talented crafters around the world joining in.
My friend Kelly Kent is the mastermind behind this and she put the group together to share our creations in a time where we are all social distancing and many are in isolation. It is a very unnerving time for a lot of people as some have medical issues and loved ones who are compromised and can not afford to get ill. Creating is my sanity at the moment as I am a pretty social person and these past few months have been a little bit of a struggle.

I started small card classes back up again this week with groups of 3, socially distanced apart which was lovely.

So here is the next theme that Kelly has set for us and it is "Hearts"

You have come from the lovely Narelle's page

I am in love with this paper so, so much I just had to use it!

I couldn't possibly cut into that gorgeous Magenta Madness Rose now could I??

The new Tasteful Texture Embossing Folder is a great add to our collection as I love it just as much as the subtle and it will get a working out!

The inlaid heart was actually the stitched inlay that does go with the outside border but I just carefully cut around the stitching making it another heart. It then gives a white strip around the scalloped Heart frame on the outside!

The Black and White sentiment just makes it pop!!

  • Stamps: Heartfelt
  • Ink: Versamark
  • Card: Whisper White, Magenta Madness, Poppy Parade, Basic Black and Flowers for Every Season DSP
  • Tools: Stitched Be Mine Dies & Tasteful Textures with a Die Cutting/Embossing Machine and White Embossing Powder
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals & Peaceful Poppies Sequins

Colour INKspiration 78 #CI78

Welcome to Colour Inkspiration!

What is Colour INKspiraton? – a Facebook based bi-monthly colour challenge.
Anyone with Facebook can join in.  You don’t need a blog and you don’t need to be a demonstrator.
I have joined in these challenges and love them as Colour challenges for me are actually a real challenge.
Click here to join the Facebook page which now has over 2100 members and see what it’s all about.

Here’s some of the basic details about the challenge –
The Colour INKspiration Crew! consists of a team of talented Aussie and NZ Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators that create projects based on Pinterest inspired colour swatches.
Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm (AEDT), a new colour swatch will be uploaded to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group and the Colour INKspiration Crew will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each challenge with a post on their blogs.
Then you have a 12 day period to upload your own creations using the colours provided.
If you have a blog, feel free to link back to it, but all entries will be via Facebook.  The design team will select 5 projects to be ‘design team picks’ and then the Facebook group will select an overall winner from this shortlist.

Gorgeous colours!!

I used the new Lovely Labels Pick a Punch to do the scallop on the ends of all the strips of paper. The Stamparatus also came in handy for stamping the background pieces!

A touch of Champange Glimmer and Champagne Rhinestones just finishes the card off nicely.

  • Stamps: Lovely You
  • Ink: Grey Granite, Early Espresso and Blushing Bride
  • Card: Whisper White, Grey Granite, Blushing Bride, Early Espresso and Champagne Glimmer
  • Tools: Lovely Labels Pick a Punch, 1 1/2" punch and Subtle Embossing Folder with a die cutting/ embossing machine
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals and Champagne Rhinestones

Social Stamping - Animals

Hello and welcome to the weekly Social Stamping Blog Hop with so many talented crafters around the world joining in.
My friend Kelly Kent is the mastermind behind this and she put the group together to share our creations in a time where we are all social distancing and many are in isolation. It is a very unnerving time for a lot of people as some have medical issues and loved ones who are compromised and can not afford to get ill. Creating is my sanity at the moment as I am a pretty social person and not being able to meet friends just at the coffee shop or have a card class is really hard.

This week our social distancing has been relaxed a little with restaurants/ pubs allowed to open for up to 20 people at a time. I actually went out for dinner with a few mum friends on Thursday and it was wonderful!

So here is the next theme that Kelly has set for us and it is "Animals"

You have hopped on over from the mastermind herself - Kelly

I just want to say a big congratulations to Kel for organising these hops.
It certainly has kept a lot of us crafting and included.
Last weeks sunshine theme had me bawling. Kelly made a really lovely comment about me on her page and not only has she been so kind but she has also sent my mum a beautiful gift and card as they have birthdays one day apart! I am so greatful for your friendship Kel and everything you do xx

Ok so enough soppy stuff here is my card for this week
I actually hadn't used this set and it will be retiring in about a weeks time.

Aren't these little fish super cute?
This is my motto at the moment "Just Keep Swimming"
I can't wait for a little bit more normal to be happening (I think it may be the lack of sports as they make a person feel good... so roll on netball season... eventually)
