Colour INKspiration 86 #CI86

Welcome to Colour Inkspiration!

What is Colour INKspiraton? – a Facebook based bi-monthly colour challenge.
Anyone with Facebook can join in.  You don’t need a blog and you don’t need to be a demonstrator.
I have joined in these challenges and love them as Colour challenges for me are actually a real challenge.
Click here to join the Facebook page which now has over 2200 members and see what it’s all about.

Here’s some of the basic details about the challenge –
The Colour INKspiration Crew! consists of a team of talented Aussie and NZ Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators that create projects based on Pinterest inspired colour swatches.
Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm (AEDT), a new colour swatch will be uploaded to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group and the Colour INKspiration Crew will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each challenge with a post on their blogs.
Then you have a 12 day period to upload your own creations using the colours provided.
If you have a blog, feel free to link back to it, but all entries will be via Facebook.  The design team will select 5 projects to be ‘design team picks’ and then the Facebook group will select an overall winner from this shortlist.

I thought I had better get a card made for this challenge since I found the Inspiration Picture!
Using all of the colours this fortnight I went for another CAS card.

By adding a gold foil wreath it sets the card off beautifully as the colours are quite rich together.

  • Card: Whisper White. Shaded Spruce and Gold Laser Cut Foil
  • Tools: Tasteful Labels and Stitched Shapes Dies as well as Tasteful Textile Embossing folder with a Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals

Global Design Project 258 #GDP258

I love this sketch and I made this card with a little bit of a twist to it.

I just had to be different!

I also had my class girls make this card for one of their stampastack cards for Christmas.
I think it's pretty cute.

Placing the three die cut tree panels on the front of the card joining the top and bottom panels to finish the card front along with the embossing for some texture makes this card complete.

  • Stamps: In the Pines and Itty Bitty Christmas
  • Ink: Early Espresso, Mossy Meadow and Old Olive
  • Card: Whisper White, Soft Suede, Mossy Meadow and Old Olive
  • Tools: Pine Woods Dies, Subtle & Pinewood Planks Embossing Folders with a Cut Stampin' Emboss Machine
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals
  • GDP258

Just Add Ink 522 #JAI522

Just Add Ink Challenge #522

This weeks challenge is a sketch

I'm going to have a little break as I just feel a bit tired and I will be back feeling refreshed in a few weeks. I do have a couple of scheduled posts over the next couple of weeks but I won't be creating.
This card I made for a friend for her birthday as I keep forgetting to post it before I have my usual break at this time of the year!

I wanted to make a card where the background made the foreground flowers pop! I think that Early Espresso and Magenta Madness are great for this!

A little die cutting and embossing adds the texture to the background of the card and a bit of wink of stella on the flower centres and splattered over the card give it a bit of shimmer..

  • Stamps: Celebrate Sunflowers & Itty Bitty Birthdays
  • Ink: - Magenta Madness and Memento
  • Card: Whisper White, Early Espresso, Magenta Madness & Shaded Spruce
  • Tools: Sunflowers Dies  as well as Ornate Floral Embossing Folder with a Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Magenta Madness, Shaded Spruce and Bronze Stampin' Blends
  • Embellishments:  Dimensionals and Wink of Stella

Creating Kindness - Colour

Hello, I was honored to be asked by my lovely friend Lou to be a guest designer with this very very talented team of people in this awesome hop.

The theme I have been given today is colour...... gosh so, so many things I could do with this...

My first reaction was RAINBOW! but that is too predictable so I went with a beautiful colour combination of Magenta Madness, Bermuda Bay and Misty Moonlight. (with the classics Black and White)

Using Black and White on a card makes any colours used pop off the page. I have been known in the past to just use bold colours and not much in the way of black and white so I have been challenging myself to use them more.

My motivation to make this card was actually receiving the bundle a few weeks ago and not at all having a play with it! I really wanted to use the stampset but I went for a more clean and simple approach using the colours for this congratulations card.

Now onto the extremely talented Jay to see his gorgeous card!

  • Stamps: Itty Bitty Greetings
  • Ink: Versamark
  • Card: Magenta Madness, Misty Moonlight, Bermuda Bay, Black and White
  • Tools:  Dies as well as Subtle & Brick and Morter Embossing folders with a Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine & White Embossing Powder
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals & Misty Moonlight

TGIF Challenges #TGIFC279

This weeks challenge is 3D cards and that is what I am best at!

This is the card that I have just made and my class ladies loved it!
It is an original fold that I made for a tutorial group back in May.

I actually made two. A blue/ vanilla version and a coloured version.
I am not sure which one I like better.

I called it a Double Planterbox Card.
There was minimal fussy cutting with the flowers which my class ladies were grateful for.

  • Stamps: Boho Indigo
  • Ink: - Night of Navy, Gorgeous Grape, Mango Melody, Melon Mambo & Granny Apple Green
  • Card: Night of Navy, Very Vanilla, Boho Indigo DSP and Gold Foil
  • Tools: Boho Ingigo & Stitched Rectangles Dies & Brick and Mortar 3D embossing folder with the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
  • Embellishments:  Dimensionals & Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon & Faux Suede Trim
