Colour INKspiration 50 #CI50

What is Colour INKspiraton? – a Facebook based bi-monthly colour challenge.
Anyone with Facebook can join in.  You don’t need a blog and you don’t need to be a demonstrator.
I have joined in these challenges and love them as Colour challenges for me are actually a real challenge.
Click here to join the Facebook page which now has over 1900 members and see what it’s all about.

Here’s some of the basic details about the challenge –
The Colour INKspiration Crew! consists of a team of talented Aussie and NZ Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators that create projects based on Pinterest inspired colour swatches.
Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm (AEDT), a new colour swatch will be uploaded to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group and the Colour INKspiration Crew will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each challenge with a blog hop.
Then you have a 12 day period to upload your own creations using the colours provided.
If you have a blog, feel free to link back to it, but all entries will be via Facebook.  The design team will select 5 projects to be ‘design team picks’ and then the Facebook group will select an overall winner from this shortlist.

Welcome from Julia's page

I whipped out an oldie but a goodie for this colour combo as the colours yelled "male themed" to me....
I also took the picture as a bit of inspiration to make a sea card.

This card came as a bit of a happy accident as I had a piece of whisper white cardstock with the circle already cut into it and worked my card around it.

I like the bit of depth the layered circles add to the image as I tried to make something that I hadn't made before with this set.

A little bit of flicked water over a sponge brayered background just sets the whole card off.

I stamped the seagulls with the Blueberry Bushel and then with Memento slightly offset so it gives the impression of movement.

  • Stamps: High Tide and sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthdays
  • Ink: Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, Mango Melody, Sahara Sand, Blueberry Bushel and Memento Black
  • Card: Whisper White, Sahara Sand, Coastal Cabana, Mango Melody, Bermuda Bay and Blueberry Bushell
  • Tools: Layering Circle Framelits, various sized circle punches for the smaller circles and a sponge brayer
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals and Water

Just Add Ink 445 #JAI445

Just Add Ink Challenge #445

This weeks challenge is

Who doesn't like embossing?

I used this challenge as inspiration to make a birthday card for a lovely mum from school.

I did a bit of a happy mistake (there isn't really mistakes in cardmaking) but I debossed the image which I quite like on a patchwork style card.

I also Embossed the Happy in white embossing powder for the sentiment.

  • Stamps: Well Said
  • Ink: - Versamark
  • Card: Whisper White, Highland Heather, Balmy Blue, Basic Black and Petal Pink
  • Tools: Rectangle Stitched, Well Written & Stitched Labels Framelits as well as the Country Floral Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder with the Bigshot
  • Embellishments:  Dimensionals & Highland Heather Organdy Ribbon

What Will You Stamp 208? #WWYS208

What Will you Stamp Challenge number 208.
I hope that you like what I can come up with for these awesome challenges.
I hope more of you join in with these great stampset challenges as they are fun!

I have used this set a few times but I thought about using it a bit differently this time and just use the smaller flowers that feature.

I cut a circle and placed it on the card base to use as a bit of a template for the twigs and floral images to be stamped around. The striped image was stamped off first then stamped onto the card.
It is a bit hard to see in the photo but I placed the circle back onto the card and sprayed a mixture of blushing bride with Isocol on the background to give it a pink tinge.

  • Stamps: Incredible Like You
  • Ink:  Blushing Bride, Old Olive, Balmy Blue, Mint Macaron and Soft Suede
  • Card: Whisper White
  • Tools: precut circle for a mask as well as Stampin Spritzer with Blushing Bride and Isocol.
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals & Butterfly Elements
