    Just Add Ink 509 #JAI509 & Fab Friday 191 #fabfri191

    Just Add Ink Challenge #509

    This weeks challenge is

    Colour

    and

These Two Challenges worked perfectly together for my card this week.

A little bit of ruffled sheer pool party ribbon under the sentiment just finishes off the texture on this card. Who said Sunflowers must be yellow???? They look like Gerberas in other colours.
That's the good thing about this stampset they can be either flower.

Black and White with a pop of colour makes this card really pleasing to the eye.

    • Stamps: Celebrate Sunflowers
    • Ink: - Versamark, Crumb Cake and Memento Black
    • Card: Whisper White, Basic Black, Crumb Cake and Highland Heather
    • Tools: Sunflowers Dies with a die cutting/ embossing machine, Highland Heather, Pool Party and So Saffron Stampin' Blends and White Embossing Powder with a heat tool
    • Embellishments:  Dimensionals, Sheer Pool Party Ribbon and Wink of Stella

Global Design Project #GDP224 & TGIF Challenges #TGIFC268

    &

These two challenges work perfectly together this week and perfect timing too as it is my lovely mother in laws birthday today so I made her this card.

I am still loving playing with this gorgeous paper and the cute gold hoop rings can be turned into a bit of a dreamcatcher.

I love to fussy cut and it is well worth the effort to cut the gorgeous flowers from the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper. These then become the focal point on the gold hoop.
The black sentiment panel with a touch of gold balances out the embellishments on the centre panel.

I really love how this card turned out, so pretty.

    • Stamps: Butterfly Wishes
    • Ink: Versamark
    • Card: Whisper White, Bumblebee, Just Jade, Basic Black, Magenta Madness, Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty paper and Flowers for Every Season DSP
    • Tools: Stitched So Sweetly Dies and Greenery Embossing Folder with a Die Cutting Machine, Gold embossing powder and a heat tool
    • Embellishments: Dimensionals, Gold Hoops, Forever Greenery Gold Trim & 2020-2022 In-Colour Enamel Dots
    • GDP224

    Social Stamping - Travel

Hello and welcome to the weekly Social Stamping Blog Hop with so many talented crafters around the world joining in.

My friend Kelly Kent is the mastermind behind this and she put the group together to share our creations in a time where we are all social distancing and many are in isolation. It is a very unnerving time for a lot of people as some have medical issues and loved ones who are compromised and can not afford to get ill. Creating is my sanity at the moment as I am a pretty social person and these past few months have been a little bit of a struggle.

This week we haven't done a lot differently but I did finally get my waxing done after 3 very very long months! (My poor beautician lol) I also went out for lunch with my bestie which was pretty awesome, although sanitizing as you walk into the café is pretty weird!

So here is the next theme that Kelly has set for us and it is "Travel"

I am still a bit sad as I was supposed to be in Bali for the past two weeks and arrive home yesterday. We did get a refund for our flights but not our accommodation. Luckily we could put it off till next year. I just hope that we are allowed to travel then and that it will be safe!

You have come from the mastermind herself - Kelly

I thought a lot of the hop ladies might be using the new Beautiful World set so I went a little different and just used the papers from the suite.

It goes so, so well with the Parisian Beauty Suite and if you look closely I have found Paris in the paper to use as one of the features on this card.
It didn't quite work how I wanted it to but it came out ok. I made it pretty simple as the background paper does all the work with its gorgeous Brass foil. The sentiment was chopped up and mounted onto Cinnamon Cider and onto mini dimensionals.

    • Stamps: Parisian Beauty
    • Ink: Early Espresso and Poppy Parade
    • Card: Whisper White, Early Espresso, Cinnamon Cider, Poppy Parade and World Of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper
    • Tools: Stitched Hearts, Layering Circles and Parisian Dies as well as Tasteful Texture Embossing Folder with a Die Cutting/Embossing Machine
    • Embellishments: Dimensionals & Cinnamon Cider Ribbon

    Fusion Card Challenge - Butterfly

Oh my I couldn't resist this challenge I am loving it!!

I love Butterflies and I love the look of this challenge....

I think that combining (or Fusing) these two together will be the challenge....
I immediately had an idea to use...

So, so simple but so, so pretty!!
I combined a little bit of new product with existing product to come up with this CAS card.

I used the Butterfly Image (it reminds me of the gorgeous Ulysses Butterflies found in northern Queensland. We had a trip back in 2014 and we were very lucky to see them in the Daintree Forest)
I also used the splashes from the original image and flicked my markers and my shimmer paint over the background as well as used an embossing folder for a textured look.

The three butterflies symbolize the three circles on the sketch and the rest is pretty self explanatory.
I am really happy to go back to simple cards like this as they are so effective.

    • Stampset: Itty Bitty Birthdays
    • Ink: Memento Black & Pacific Point
    • Card: Whisper White, Basic Black, Pacific Point, Balmy Blue and In Good Taste Specialty Designer Series Paper
    • Tools: Butterfly Beauty Dies and Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder with a Die Cutting/Embossing Machine, Black and Pacific Point Stampin' Write markers
    • Embellishments:  Dimensionals, Gold Glitter Enamel Dots and Champagne Mist shimmer paint.

    Colour INKspiration 79 #CI79

    Welcome to Colour Inkspiration!

What is Colour INKspiraton? – a Facebook based bi-monthly colour challenge.
Anyone with Facebook can join in.  You don’t need a blog and you don’t need to be a demonstrator.
I have joined in these challenges and love them as Colour challenges for me are actually a real challenge.
Click here to join the Facebook page which now has over 2100 members and see what it’s all about.

Here’s some of the basic details about the challenge –
The Colour INKspiration Crew! consists of a team of talented Aussie and NZ Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators that create projects based on Pinterest inspired colour swatches.
Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm (AEDT), a new colour swatch will be uploaded to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group and the Colour INKspiration Crew will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each challenge with a post on their blogs.
Then you have a 12 day period to upload your own creations using the colours provided.
If you have a blog, feel free to link back to it, but all entries will be via Facebook.  The design team will select 5 projects to be ‘design team picks’ and then the Facebook group will select an overall winner from this shortlist.

I found this colour swatch quite a while ago and if you know me I really like these bold colours.

This card was made using the smaller die from the Many Layered Blossoms Dies.
Lots of these smaller dies get forgotten about so I decided to make them the focus on the card.

It is hard to see that every second flower is popped up on a mini dimensional to give it a bit more texture and dimension.

    • Stamps: Blossoms in Bloom
    • Ink: Night of Navy, Blackberry Bliss, Merry Merlot and Pretty Peacock
    • Card: Whisper White, Merry Merlot, Night of Navy, Pretty Peacock and Brass Foil
    • Tools: Many Layered Blossoms Dies, Tasteful Textures Embossing Folder with a die cutting/ embossing machine
    • Embellishments: Dimensionals and Gold Metallic Twine from the Forever Greenery Trim pack

    Social Stamping - New

Hello and welcome to the weekly Social Stamping Blog Hop with so many talented crafters around the world joining in.

My friend Kelly Kent is the mastermind behind this and she put the group together to share our creations in a time where we are all social distancing and many are in isolation. It is a very unnerving time for a lot of people as some have medical issues and loved ones who are compromised and can not afford to get ill. Creating is my sanity at the moment as I am a pretty social person and these past few months have been a little bit of a struggle.

We just had a long weekend here in WA so I went away with my family, mum, stepdad, sisters and families. It was a lovely weekend at Alexander Bridge near Margaret River/ Augusta. We even got to catch up with my beautiful cousin and her family on their farm.

So here is the next theme that Kelly has set for us and it is "New/ Normal"

Well there isn't really much normal happening just yet but I do have a date my daughter and I are going back to play netball and my son has a date for Auskick which is a bit exciting.

You have come from Michelle's page this week

I have decided to use new product this week as I was a little stumped on what I could do for new normal so here it is.

I have fallen in love with these papers and I wanted them to be the main focus on this card.
I keep forgetting about the Memories and More stickers and they just finish off this card perfectly.
The Tasteful Dies are perfect for layering over each other! I cut the base label and fliped it over to get the green pattern for the bottom of this layered stack and I fussy cut around the foil to get a border on the top sentiment die.

    • Stamps: Sentiment from Lovely You
    • Ink: Melon Mambo
    • Card: Whisper White, Magenta Madness, Silver Foil and Flowers for Every Season DSP
    • Tools: Tasteful Labels Dies with a Die Cutting/Embossing Machine
    • Embellishments: Dimensionals & Flowers for Every Season Memories and More Stickers
