The Artful Stampers Blog Hop Challenge 13

You have come over from Janes page
Colours this week.

These colours I thought I would try to make a manly card although I added ribbon and buttons to it to finish it off so it could be for a man or woman.
My hubby was given a beach towel with a triangular pattern on it for Christmas so I thought I would replicate it in the colours we were given.

I thought I would try a couple of new goodies out from the upcoming "saleabration" and "occasions" catalogues.
It was a pretty simple card with the background made with the triangle punch and randomly placing the triangles for a unique patterned background.

  • Stamp: Crazy about you (in the upcoming occasions catalogue)
  • Ink: Old Olive
  • Card: Old Olive, Tangerine Tango, Sahara Sand, Crushed Curry and Whisper White
  • Tools: Triangle Punch, Modern Label punch, Hello You Thinlits Dies (in the upcoming occasions catalogue) with the Bigshot
  • Embellishments: Ribbon and buttons from the Best year ever accessory pack (upcoming saleabration item)

  • All these products can be purchased online through my store
(occasions items can be purchased from the 6th of Jan and saleabration items can be earned from this date also)

The Artful Stampers - Blog Hop Challenge number 12

Thanks for hopping over from Janes page

    Its a sketch again !!

Perfect, time for me to get scrapping!!!

    A simple one this week.
I had some really cute pictures of my two cherubs that we took for our Christmas cards this year.
Out of about 70 pictures taken there was only 1 decent one. I grabbed 3 others that weren't so good and put them on the side of the page.
I was lucky to receive my pre- order for the new holiday catalogue last week and amongst it was the Simply Pressed Clay Alphanumeric Mold. I had to have a play so I mixed in a little old olive from a reinker and got the colour just right to match the Santa and Co DSP.

I am more a traditional scrapbooker. I have to admit I haven't purchased MDS yet but I promise you all it is coming....... when I get a new computer!

  • Ink: Old Olive reinker
  • Card: Real Red, Santa & Co and Gold Glimmer
  • Tools:  Tree Punch, Stars Border punch and Star from Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack
  • Embellishments: Alphanumeric Mold with simply pressed clay

  • All these products can be purchased online through my store

The Artful Stampers - Blog Hop Challenge 11

Thankyou for coming over from Annas page

A colour challenge again and I LOVE these colours!!

I have had a really really busy week this week (as it was my birthday) ... but not too busy to stamp!!

I love the flower patch bundle I don't think I will ever tire of it!

The main card background is the dictionary stamp with Smoky Slate Ink. I inked up the whole stamp and got my trusty cleaning rag and wiped sections off to give a "worn" look.
I then inked around the outside.
The background of the large flower stamp was inked with the
Blushing Bride and Rose Red stamped on top.
The leaves were Mossy Meadow stamped off and the secondary image is the background.
The main flower image has been stamped 3 times and layered with dimensionals.

    Inspired yet??

  • Stamp Sets: Flower Patch, Itty Bitty Banners & Dictionary Background Stamp
  • Ink:  Rose Red, Mossy Meadow, Blushing Bride, Smoky Slate
  • Card: Basic Grey, Smoky Slate & Whisper White
  • Tools:  Big Shot, Bitty Banners Framelits & Flower Fair Framelits
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals & Rhinestones

  • All these products can be purchased online through my store

The Artful Stampers Blog Hop Challenge 9

You have come over from the ever so clever Alisas page.

This weeks challenge was another colour one and lovely colours too.

This week I was a little time poor as I was getting organised for a Christmas Fair in my home town of Busselton. (I had a fantastic day showcasing what beautiful things can be made with Stampin' Up! products.)

I pulled out a stampset off the shelf and this is what I came up with

I immediately wanted to do some heat embossing but remembered that sadly the Melon Mambo powder is retired.
Out came the Gold, Black and White powders.

  • Stamp Sets: Four Feathers
  • Ink:  Versamark
  • Card: Melon Mambo, Basic Black, Whisper White & Brushed Gold
  • Tools:  Big Shot, Heat Tool, White, Black and Gold Embossing powders
  • Embellishments: Feathers Framelits, Gold Metallic Baker's Twine, Dimensionals

I thought -Hmmm what to do with this???? Then I had a lightbulb moment.
Thanks to Pat Carr who demonstrated at Perth Party Time at few weeks ago
I thought I would make a paper frame.

I adjusted her measurements as I wanted it to be rectangle and bigger than the dimensions we were given.

The Artful Stampers Blog Hop Challenge - Week 7

You have come over from Alisons page.

This weeks challenge was a colour challenge.

    Eeeek!! I LOVE sparkles....
But this had me stumped without adding any other colours (besides whisper white) it was quite hard.

I had been cutting up some stars for my Christmas Stampastack on Tuesday (tomorrow night) out of glimmer paper and thought how could I use the negatives from it??
I whipped out a sheet of Strawberry Slush paper from the All abloom paper stack (yes I know I used the stack last week) but I love these stacks they are so useful and added the negative for the background.

    Here it is

No wastage in my household! Especially the gorgeous glimmer paper.
I also used the Bright & Beautiful stampset (not just for Christmas) I didn't put a sentiment as it could be used for anything.

  • Stamp Sets:  Bright & Beautiful
  • Ink:  Versamark
  • Card: Crushed Curry, Strawberry Slush, Silver Glimmer, All Abloom paper stack, Whisper white & Silver Foil
  • Tools: Bigshot, Stars Dies, Itty bitty punch & heat tool
  • Embellishments: Crushed curry embossing powder, Silver satin ribbon, Dimensionals & Rhinestone jewels

You have come over from Annette Sullivans page.

This weeks challenge was a sketch one again.

I decided to start using some stampsets that I haven't used at all or hardly at all. "In this together" was one of the first sets I purchased when the catalogue came out and I just hadn't used it at all!!

I pulled out the "All Abloom" paper stack and decided to pull the colours from the dsp.
The dress is also from the paper stack to tie it all in nicely.
    Pretty.

  • Stamp Sets:  Kinda Eclectic & In this together
  • Ink:  Memento, Mossy Meadow & Strawberry Slush
  • Card: All Abloom paper stack, Mossy Meadow, Strawberry Slush, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White Cardstock.

The Artful Stampers Blog Hop Challenge - Week 5

I am really enjoying these creative challenges although I must admit I found this weeks colour challenge very challenging.

You have found your way over from Tamsins page, I hope you are loving the creativity.

Here is a picture of the colour combo for this week

I thought hmmmm its time I posted a chrissy card and these colours would be great.
    Out came Wondrous Wreath.

Normally most people would use the green for the wreath but I thought I would change it up a little and use Pool Party & Island Indigo. I pulled out the hardwood stamp along with festival of trees and my vellum for the window in the door.

Where is the festival of trees you ask?? Well if you look really carefully there is a tree in the window of the door. It is a little hard to tell by a photograph but it is there and it is easier to see on the real card.

Here it is a little closer

Yes it is still a little hard to see.
Oh well you will just have to believe me when I say it looks really cool.

  • Stamp Sets:  Hardwood, Trim the Tree & Wondrous Wreath
  • Ink: Pool Party, Cherry Cobbler, Island Indigo & Pear Pizzazz
  • Card: Pear Pizzazz, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White & Vellum
  • Tools: Wonderful Wreath Framelits Dies, Bigshot, 1" Square Punch
  • Embellishments: Dazzling Diamonds used with Two way glue, dimensionals & Antique Brads.

  • All these items can be ordered from my online store

Over to the talented Jane to see what she has done this week.

The Artful Stampers Blog Challenge Week 4

Where are the weeks flying off to?

Here we are at week 4 and it is another sketch challenge. Very pretty I think.

You have come over from Annette Sullivans blog

Super gorgeous, so i flipped it over onto it's side and here is my card using "Flamingo Lingo" and some bling in the form of Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. I really love the colour combo of Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, Perfect Plum and Blackberry Bliss and I used a few of the sequins from both the incolour collection and the frosted sequins.

Again, I had to make a second card as I do but still using the same colour theme with the addition of Coastal Cabana and using the hostess set "Bloom with Hope".

It is really hard to see just how beautiful they turned out by looking at a picture..... very blingy!

This week I actually only made these cards on Sunday as all week I had been preparing for a big market at Secret Harbour. Thankyou to those who popped along and said hi, it was a super huge day starting off wet and windy and fining up to be quite warm but still a little windy.

Now off to Janes blog to check out her card!

The Artful Stampers Blog Challenge Week 3

Wow week 3 already you have come over from Anna Fosters page.

Here is this weeks challenge - a colour one too.
There are some that I don't use alot so it will be a bit of a challenge for me.

I had a stampset in mind to use as it is a great two step stamp and thought it would look gorgeous with these colours.

I used the Stippled Blossoms Stampset along with the thanks from the Good Greetings set which you can earn "FREE" until the end of the month with an order or a party of $300.

I couldn't stop there with the flowers and I had a leftover pack from a class we had done a triple stamped card with so I thought I would use it up! The sentiment is from "and many more" - Perfect.

Now it is off to the ever so talented Alison Barclay to see her interpretation.

The Artful Stampers Blog Challenge Week 2

Hello again welcome to week 2 of the Artful Stampers Blog Hop Challenge.
You have come from Anna Fosters page and I hope you are enjoying the creative talent of the team.

I am really pleased with all the lovely comments and feedback I received last week so I decided why not do this again? Here is the challenge for this week

I immediately had an idea in mind and love the way it worked out.

I used Elegant Eggplant and Wisteria Wonder along with Gold to make it pop! The background was using the Large Polka Dot Die and Embossing with Gold powder. The stampset was the hostess set "I Like You" and the sentiment from "and many more". I don't use them much and tend to forget they are in my stash so I used a doily and finished it off with the Gold sequin ribbon!

The Artful Stampers Blog Hop Challenge

Ok here it is my first ever Blog Hop Challenge.
You would have come over from the lovely Annette Sullivans page and here is a picture of the challenge.

What a gorgeous colour combination. I used a technique which involves inkpads, water, an acrylic stamping block and the lovely Flower Patch Bundle.

    Here is my card

While I was playing with this I found a Perfect Peacock I had coloured in with blendabilities and thought hmmmm this will also be perfect colours for this challenge. (and a great opportunity to finish the card)

The next blog is the amazing Alison Barclay so pop on over and check out what awesome idea she has come up with.

    Holiday Catalogue

I know I know there are so many pages to update - this blog, facebook, DBWS, pinterest, etsy..... ahhhh i just can't keep on top of it. My gorgeous upline Alisa Tilsner has suggested a bit of an Artfull Stampers Challenge. I think this would be good for me to keep this blog updated. Anyway I have made yet another gorgeous box card and I am very proud of how it worked out using the new holiday frames and holiday home stampset.

This set can also be made into Christmas Cards which is also useful to get many things out of one stampset.

The second card I have cased pretty much from the catalogue with a slight change to the background. It was using the Festival of Trees bundle - photopolymer stamp and matching punch. We used this for our stampastack a few weeks ago. If anyone else is interested we will be doing another in a few more weeks with a date to be advised.

Well I have just been set that challenge so I am off to create something lovely..... keep an eye out!

Blendabilities and Blended Bloom - New Catalogue

Oh my goodness so many gorgeous things to get from this catalogue... I went all out and ended up with quite a bit of lovely stuff to play with. I just did another smallish order (with hostess benefits) yesterday and I can not wait to get it.

Here is another card in a box that i made with the blendabilities and the new blended bloom stamp. (I am a little obsessed with making these and love it to bits :-)

Here is another card with the blendabilities - I am still a bit of a beginner but getting there.

I really need to get onto this blog a little more to update.... so many things to update!!

    Card In A box

It has been a little while since I blogged and the latest craze is a 3D Card in a box!! It is so simple I have made heaps of them but the latest two that I have made were for a set of Twins 30th birthday last night.

    Natala's Card

Made with Crisp Cantaloupe, Pool Party, Summer Starfruit and Silver papers using Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die, Label Love Stampset with matching punch and the Sweet Sorbet DSP from the holiday Catalogue.

    Bec's Card

Made with Melon Mambo, Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant using Flower Shop stampset and matching punch, Itty bitty banners with framelits die and Cheerful Treats DSP (retired)

I loved making these and loved seeing the expression on their faces when they opened them.
