Social Stamping - Out of the Box

Hello and welcome to the weekly Social Stamping Blog Hop with so many talented crafters around the world joining in.

My friend Kelly Kent is the mastermind behind this and she put the group together to share our creations in a time where we are all social distancing and many are in isolation. It is a very unnerving time for a lot of people as some have medical issues and loved ones who are compromised and can not afford to get ill. Creating is my sanity at the moment as I am a pretty social person and these past few months have been a little bit of a struggle.

This week my daughter went back to netball & basketball training and my son to basketball training. It has been interesting as parents aren't allowed to stay to watch but after this weekend we are in a better phase of restrictions which means there will be no limit on how many people can go and watch (just keep social distancing).
I had my second card class back this week which has been so nice seeing my girls.

You have come from Narelle's page this week

So here is the next theme that Kelly has set for us and it is "Out of the Box"
Hmmm I had to think about this one... it has a broad range of things you could do... I went back to Social Stamping Share Sunshine and remembered my friend Bronwyn did a flowerpot box card for it with the large sunflower.... I thought hmmm I could do that card with the small sunflower so I did...

A mini Sunflower box.

or a mini Gerbera style box.

This was made with Bronwyn Eastleys tutorial called a Flowerpot Box Card and if you wish to make one for yourself here is the link to her page. It came in a bundle of 4 and the 3 other cards are just as amazing too!

Colour INKspiration 80 #CI80

Welcome to Colour Inkspiration!

What is Colour INKspiraton? – a Facebook based bi-monthly colour challenge.
Anyone with Facebook can join in.  You don’t need a blog and you don’t need to be a demonstrator.
I have joined in these challenges and love them as Colour challenges for me are actually a real challenge.
Click here to join the Facebook page which now has over 2100 members and see what it’s all about.

Here’s some of the basic details about the challenge –
The Colour INKspiration Crew! consists of a team of talented Aussie and NZ Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators that create projects based on Pinterest inspired colour swatches.
Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm (AEDT), a new colour swatch will be uploaded to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group and the Colour INKspiration Crew will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each challenge with a post on their blogs.
Then you have a 12 day period to upload your own creations using the colours provided.
If you have a blog, feel free to link back to it, but all entries will be via Facebook.  The design team will select 5 projects to be ‘design team picks’ and then the Facebook group will select an overall winner from this shortlist.

These colours this fortnight are really lovely together.

I have been having another little play with the Many Layered Blossoms Dies and Stamps again.

The Blossoms in Bloom was stamped in both corners of the White cardstock and then the dies placed over the top. The sentiment was stamped with versamark and then White Embossed and coloured in with Rococo Rose Stampin' Blends but it doesn't seem to show that well in the photo.

  • Stamps: Blossoms in Bloom
  • Ink: Rococo Rose and Versamark
  • Card: Whisper White, Purple Posy, Crumb Cake, Soft Seafoam, Basic Black and Gold Foil
  • Tools: Many Layered Blossoms Dies with a die cutting/ embossing machine, Rococo Rose Stampin' Blends and White Embossing powder with a heat tool.
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals and Gold Gilded Gems

ESAD Annual Catalogue Launch Blog Hop

Welcome to yet another wonderful ESAD blog hop!
I am so lucky to be in this group of talented demonstrators (friends) and I hope that you enjoy all our projects using new goodies from the new Annual Catalogue.

You have either started with myself or come from Kelly's blog.

I have been very patiently (or impatiently) waiting for new goodies to play with so I picked this date for our blog hop hopefully giving time to everyone to get their new stuff!!
I actually didn't think I was going to receive anything and nearly had to put the hop back a week.
Thankfully my box of awesomeness arrived on Wednesday afternoon and I retreated to my craft room...

This is what I made....

So cute these little cats and dogs.

So you can see both inside and outside the card.

The inside of the card... This cat is such a crack up! It looks so grumpy!

I really like using a window sheet as a little window on cards it looks so effective.
I also purchased the Boho Indigo Product Medley and found one of the little pots in the Die set was perfect for the light fitting.
The new In Good Taste papers are perfect for a wall or floor feature on any card.

  • Stamps: Blossoms in Bloom
  • Ink:  Early Espresso
  • Card: Whisper White, Real Red, In Good Taste DSP, Playful Pets DSP and window sheet.
  • Tools: Pampered Pets and Boho Indigo Dies as well as Subtle Embossing folder with a die cutting machine.

Social Stamping - Thinking of You

Hello and welcome to the weekly Social Stamping Blog Hop with so many talented crafters around the world joining in.

My friend Kelly Kent is the mastermind behind this and she put the group together to share our creations in a time where we are all social distancing and many are in isolation. It is a very unnerving time for a lot of people as some have medical issues and loved ones who are compromised and can not afford to get ill. Creating is my sanity at the moment as I am a pretty social person and these past few months have been a little bit of a struggle.

This week has been a bit of a quiet week for us as a family. It has actually been nice not having lots of after school activities to run around to, but that will change next week.... Kyla starts netball training.
Our children had school photos this week but no class or family photos which was a little disappointing considering they are in the class with all their peers anyway and they live with siblings.... oh well these things happen... it's the year of silly anyway......

So here is the next theme that Kelly has set for us and it is "Thinking of You"

You have come Narelle's page this week

My Big Brown Box of goodness arrived 15 days after ordering on Wednesday. I was over the moon and had to go and play with my goodies....

I had some pretty sad news this week with an old workmate and friend's mother passing away.
She had an amazing life and made it to the ripe old age of 104 years and 8 months!!
Wow!!
I had the perfect card in my head and it is definitely with the theme of "Thinking of You"

I made this card with the no line water colouring effect in mind but I actually cheated with this card. I stamped the images on shimmery white in the colours I actually coloured with.
I just went back in with my aquabrush and some of the colour to add a bit of depth to the flowers and leaves. The image itself has the lighter and darker parts highlighted in the stamp so it was quite easy to do.

The little edge scalloped die that comes with the Peony Dies is super beautiful so I featured it along the bottom of the card with a gap. In the gap I stamped images of the leaves for something a little extra..
Don't forget those gorgeous Laser-cut gold foil elements they are stunning!

  • Stamps: Prized Peony
  • Ink: Gray Granite, Petal Pink and Old Olive
  • Card: Whisper White, Petal Pink, Gray Granite, Basic Gray, Shimmery White, Gold Laser- Cut Foil and Peony Garden DSP
  • Tools: Peony and Tasteful Touches Dies with a Die Cutting/Embossing Machine
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals & Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon
