Social Stamping - Out of the Box

Hello and welcome to the weekly Social Stamping Blog Hop with so many talented crafters around the world joining in.

My friend Kelly Kent is the mastermind behind this and she put the group together to share our creations in a time where we are all social distancing and many are in isolation. It is a very unnerving time for a lot of people as some have medical issues and loved ones who are compromised and can not afford to get ill. Creating is my sanity at the moment as I am a pretty social person and these past few months have been a little bit of a struggle.

This week my daughter went back to netball & basketball training and my son to basketball training. It has been interesting as parents aren't allowed to stay to watch but after this weekend we are in a better phase of restrictions which means there will be no limit on how many people can go and watch (just keep social distancing).
I had my second card class back this week which has been so nice seeing my girls.

You have come from Narelle's page this week

So here is the next theme that Kelly has set for us and it is "Out of the Box"
Hmmm I had to think about this one... it has a broad range of things you could do... I went back to Social Stamping Share Sunshine and remembered my friend Bronwyn did a flowerpot box card for it with the large sunflower.... I thought hmmm I could do that card with the small sunflower so I did...

A mini Sunflower box.

or a mini Gerbera style box.

This was made with Bronwyn Eastleys tutorial called a Flowerpot Box Card and if you wish to make one for yourself here is the link to her page. It came in a bundle of 4 and the 3 other cards are just as amazing too!

  • Stamps: Celebrate Sunflowers and Sentiment from Butterfly Wishes
  • Ink: Memento
  • Card: Whisper White, Early Espresso, Magenta Madness & Daffodil Delight
  • Tools: Sunflowers, All Dressed Up & Stitched Nested Labels Dies as well as Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder with a Die Cutting/Embossing Machine and Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Bronze and Magenta Madness Stampin' Blends
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals, Magenta Madness and Bumblebee Ribbons

Hop on over to the amazingly clever Sharni to check out her project this week.

  2. Your sunflower pot plants are amazing Nicole. Both colours are gorgeous. Its a great idea for this theme. X

  3. So happy and cute! And perfect for the theme! So glad we're getting to watch our kids play sport - not nearly as much fun to drop & go! Kelly x

  4. Wonderful card Nicole, I love a flowerpot full of bright flowers xx

  5. These are both so striking Nicole. Beautiful blooms, beautifully coloured. x

  6. Love these flowerpots. The colouring of the flowers is perfect and the bright colours really pop against the dark brown pots. Such happy creations :)

  7. Great colour choices and a creative way of displaying these sunflowers together.
