My gorgeous friend who I have been lucky enough to meet through this wonderful hobby of mine
Renae Crosby has a lovely hubby Matt.
Matt (or Matty) loves to set a challenge with Renae's craft supplies.
It all came about when Renae was feeling she had lost her mojo.
Matt grabbed a few of her Stampin' Up! supplies and plonked them in front of her and that is how Matt's Challenge was born.

Colour INKspiration 26 #CI26

What is Colour INKspiraton? – a Facebook based bi-monthly colour challenge.
Anyone with Facebook can join in.  You don’t need a blog and you don’t need to be a demonstrator.
I have joined in these challenges and love them as Colour challenges for me are actually a real challenge.
 Click here to join the Facebook page which now has over 1750 members and see what it’s all about.

Here’s some of the basic details about the challenge –
The Colour INKspiration Crew! consists of a team of talented Aussie and NZ Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators that create projects based on Pinterest inspired colour swatches.
Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm (AEDT), a new colour swatch will be uploaded to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group and the Colour INKspiration Crew will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each challenge with a blog hop.
Then you have a 12 day period to upload your own creations using the colours provided.
If you have a blog, feel free to link back to it, but all entries will be via Facebook.  The design team will select 5 projects to be ‘design team picks’ and then the Facebook group will select an overall winner from this shortlist.

You have hopped on over from Rebecca's  pretty card

Another set of beautiful colours

I went back to the annual catalogue to see what hasn't been touched for a while and found my Watercolour Wings stampset. I did mix a little new product in with this card.

Firstly I took the Bermuda bay and a sponge brayer and coloured the top of the shimmery white paper, then the Emerald Envy and Tranquil Tide at the Bottom of the Card.

I cracked out the new Stamparatus to 3 step stamp the Butterfly in the same 3 colours.
The floral diecut is from the new Petals and More Thinlits along with the sentiment from Perennial Birthday. I have even popped some of the Bermuda bay shimmery ribbon from Sale-a-bration behind the butterfly.

  • Stamps: Watercolour Wings & sentiment from Perennial Birthday
  • Ink: Bermuda Bay, Emerald Envy, Tranquil Tide and Sahara Sand
  • Card: Whisper White, Tranquil Tide, Sahara Sand, Shimmery White & Bermuda Bay
  • Tools: Petals and More Thinlits and Bold Butterfly Framelits with the Bigshot
  • Embelishments:  Dimensionals, wink of stella & Shimmery Bermuda Bay Ribbon from Sale-a-bration

Ribbon of Courage

Well I think that everyone is touched by cancer at some point in their life.
My story is my beautiful dad was diagnosed with a rare type of sarcoma about 12 years ago! I was devastated and thought that this is it I'm going to lose my dad...... he had radiotherapy for months and he has had the all clear for a few years now.

I chose yellow for my card as yellow is the symbol of Sarcoma.

  • Stamps: Ribbon of Courage
  • Ink:  Daffodil Delight
  • Card: Whisper White and Daffodil Delight
  • Tools: Support Ribbon Framelits with the Bigshot
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals & 1/4" double stitched daffodil delight ribbon

Alisa's build a Card Challenge

Hi there and welcome to my blog.
The very talented Alisa Tilsner has started to do a build a card challenge again on her Stampers Group page.

Step 1 - stamp and image and colour it in.

Step 2 - create a background panel. This could be DSP, a stamped background, or technique background. Needs to match your main coloured image.

Step 3 - cut out your stamped image and choose a shape background for it to be mounted to.
Don't adhere anything just yet though.

Step 4 - stamp a sentiment on card (or emboss on darker card etc) trim into a banner.
Again, don't adhere anything just yet.
I forgot to take a pic of this step

Step 5 - assembly time. Find a card base.
Arrange all your components as you wish on your card.
Add some embellishment/ribbon/bling if desired

I apologize for the picture quality of the instruction pics they were taken on my phone.

The Completed Card

I have done this challenge in a scrapping page (black and white background and the rose flowers) but I need to complete and add a picture to it.

Matt's Challenge #mattschallenge

My gorgeous friend who I have been lucky enough to meet through this wonderful hobby of mine
Renae Crosby has a lovely hubby Matt.
Matt (or Matty) loves to set a challenge with Renae's craft supplies.
It all came about when Renae was feeling she had lost her mojo.
Matt grabbed a few of her Stampin' Up! supplies and plonked them in front of her and that is how Matt's Challenge was born.

Here is the current challenge

We have to make a card using all of these items that Matt has picked plus we can add to it.
* Rich Razzleberry Ink
* Layered Leaves Embossing Folder
* Hardwood background Stamp
* Vellum

I really love the subtle background of the hardwood stamp.
This effect was achieved by using a sponge and lightly sponging the ink on the stamp.

  • Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Versamark and Sahara Sand
  • Card: Shimmery White, Whisper White & Vellum

What Will You Stamp 151 #WWYS151

What Will you Stamp Challenge number 151.
I hope that you like what I can come up with for these awesome challenges.
I hope more of you join in with these great stampset challenges as they are fun!

I sent this card to my downline Rachel in October last year for her birthday.

It was pretty simple to make the background using watercolour paper and reinkers for that bold background look. I just placed a couple of drops onto a wet acrylic block, sprayed lightly with water and then pressed onto the watercolour paper.

The rose image was coloured with an aqua painter and ink from the inkpad then fussy cut and mounted on the background (which has been stamped and embossed in copper with the background image from the stampset)

  • Stamps: Graceful Garden & Sentiment from Best Birds
  • Ink:  Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist, Versamark and Fresh Fig
  • Card: Fresh Fig, Watercolour and Shimmery white
  • Tools: Copper Stampin' Emboss with the heat tool, acrylic block and spritzer with water
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals
